Carry case1 answer
Do this fit in the Coleman Eventemp Stove Carry Case?
All Coleman stoves come with a 3/8th BSP hose to connect to a refillable LPG cylinder - there's a few different connection styles depending on the kind of gas bottle you use. If you gas bottle has anything other than a 3/8th BSP fitting, you'll just need to pick up an adapter which is readily available from hardware stores if you're not local to a Snowys!

Best pots to suit stove 1 answer
Would the sea to summit sigma or msr alpine pot range be better suited to the heat and flame size produced by this stove? Or is it more about the size of pot (in which case what is the minimum ltr you would recommend?)
Ammie - Melbourne(3 years ago)
G'day Ammie,
Tha Alpha and Sigma are an ultralightweight adventure pot range is designed to be used with smaller hiking stoves. You can use normal everyday domestic cookware on the Triton stove.

Length1 answer
How long is this with the attached propane bottle?
steve - Gosford, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Steve,
We dont carry the Coleman Propane bottles anymore, as they have been discontinued, so I cant measure exactly. The regulator arm is around 20cm of width, plus an extra 5cm or so for the bottle. I reckon it's safe to assume an additional 25cm all up.

Pop up kettle1 answer
Can you use a popup kettle with this stove?
Jean-Paul - BRIGHTON(4 years ago)
G'day Jean-Paul,
The Triton Stove packs a fair bit of heat, so it should be fine with a popup kettle depending on which model you've got. Unfortunately, most of our Pop Up Kettle range has been discontinued.

Burner adjustability1 answer
How good is the control on this item, good simmer?
David - West Beach, SA(4 years ago)
G'day David,
The Coleman Stoves are best known for their high heat output, unfortunately, they're not great at maintaining low heat/simmer temperatures.

Regulator1 answer
Hi, I see this stove comes with the hose, does it also include the required regulator to operate?
Ada - 2102(4 years ago)
G'day Ada,
Yes, the Triton stove comes with a small regulator arm that is supplied with all Coleman stoves, you can connect a smaller disposable cylinder direct to the arm, or attach the supplied hose to connect to a 3/8" BSP gas bottle.

Accurate dimensions1 answer
Hi - I need to know if this stove would safely sit on our 65 cm long camp table - have seen its operating dimensions given variously as anything from 53 up to 66cmL???(seems long compared to other 2 burners - wondering if this 66 measure includes the portable gas cylinder?) Can you please confirm length of actual stove base unit which would sit on a table when in operation. Thanks
Rebecca - Narooma(4 years ago)
G'day Rebecca,
The stove is 58cm when it's folded shut, so the extra width is due to the side windshields in their open position. If you're planning to use this from a larger LPG bottle then you'll have no worries with your 65cm table, the windshields don't need tabletop to lean on. If you're using the disposable cylinders, then you might need a table with a little more length so the bottle can be adequately supported.

Suitable Diameter of frypan on a burner1 answer
What would be the largest diameter frypan that could be used with the wind protector up.
What is the length of the supplied 3/8" hose?1 answer
What is the length of the supplied 3/8" hose? and can you screw the hose directly to the stove or do you need to use the solid Coleman regulator as well?
Dan - Karratha(5 years ago)
G'day Dan,
The Triton comes with a 1.5m long hose. The hose must be attached to the stove via the solid regulator arm.

Do I need a seperate attachment to use a different shape gas cylinder?e1 answer
Hi There, I noticed that in all the photos with this stove the gas cylinder is a longer, more cylindrical shape - and the metal attachment from the stove to the bottle seems to suit that shape. Just wondering if I used the Gasmate 2 kg 3/8" BSP Gas Cylinder would I need another hose or attachment to make it fit?
Cora - Killara(5 years ago)
G'day Cora,
The Triton stove can be used directly from a small single-use BOM propane cylinder (which is shown in some of the photos), or you can use the supplied hose to run it from the Gasmate 2kg 3/8" BSP cylinder. So no, you won't need any other hoses or attachments.

Is there a bag that fits this model?1 answer
Chasing a boot liner bag of some sort to protect this in the car.
Michael - Perth(5 years ago)
G'day Michael,
I've just given this a whirl and the Triton Stove fits well in the Hyperflame Stove Carry Bag with a bit of extra wiggle room.

BBQ plate1 answer
Does this come with the BBQ grill plate or is that an additional accessory?
The Triton Instastart can be used with either Propane LPG disposable gas cylinders (certified to DOT-39 NRC 232/290 M1110) which are widely available through most hardware stores and of course, us here at Snowys but only for in-store purchase. Or using the hose attachment, you can operate it with a refillable LPG cylinder - again available through most hardware stores and Snowys, as well as Swap'n'Go facilities. As for how long a bottle lasts..? With refillable LPG cylinders, it very much depends upon the size of your cylinder and flame output (high flame will obviously have a shorter run-time to low). The same can be said if using the Propane disposable cylinders which have a net weight of 16OZ/453g. Hope that helps :)
