Hi, would you get 2 single zempire monstamats in the rv2 running from front to back so you don’t need to climb over each other?
G'day Colin,
The Zempire Monstamat Singles will just fit in from front to back, however you may find that the canvas touches on the mat a little at the sloped rear.
Hi Snowys, You mentioned its hard to fit any decent size stretcher in the RV2. How about 2 smaller ones that are only 66-70cm wide and 190-200 long? Maybe diagonal? Thanks
G'day Basti,
It is possible, however, the stretcher would touch the back of the tent based on the slope at the rear of the tent. We're not comfortable recommending the use of stretchers with the size RV tent sorry.
Hi Guys. Just wondering how much light the canvas blocks out. Have had a Macpac Wanaka for the last 10 years. Great tent but let's a lot of light in at caravan parks of a night with the security lightning. Does this thicker canvas block out more light than a normal tent. Cheers Brendon PS on behalf of my wife😀
G'day Brendon,
In general, we find that the canvas will block out a little more light than your standard polyester tent, however, there will still be some light leakage. The only way to completely avoid this issue would be to go for a Darkroom style tent that has blackout applied to the fly.
If I purchase through Snowys but have a warranty job later, can the local retailer sort it out, or does the tent need to be sent back to Snowys?
G'day Steve,
If you did end up wanting to claim on a warranty issue with the RV2 tents you'd need to contact us. Normally we're able to determine the problem and sort out a solution using photos or video. Very rarely, if ever, have we actually had to retrieve something like this back from a customer.
Hi, Is there any special tool that can help repair the zips on my RV3 tent. The zips are damaged in two places and can still be used but are difficult to get them to work properly?
G'day David,
We've got a couple of staff here in our office that are pretty good at fixing up broken zips. I'd suggest you give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and they'll be able to help you out over the phone.
Howdy. I’m 6’4†tall and I’m wondering if I could stand up in it?
G'day Casey,
The Oztent RV2 Touring Tent is 190cm (nearly 6'3") tall at its tallest point. So whilst you won't need to bend too much, you won't be able to stand up completely straight in it either. Keep in mind too, that it slopes all the way back, so the further in you go, the more you'll need to bed.
Hi, could you tell me the width of the awning where poles are? Thanks Ken
G’day Ken, the width of the awning on the Oztent RV2 Touring Tent is 2 metres, and the poles stand at 1.9m - I hope this was helpful!
I have seen mentioned the value of a floor protector. Please forgive my ignorance - but does the protector or the tarp go under the tent or on top of the floor? Or is it best to do both? Cheers Michael
