Feeding a tribe? Well, maybe not that many, but a small group? The Jetboil Sumo,
The 1.8L pot is enough to boil water for 4 x 2-Serve Back Country Cuisines and will house either a 100g or 230g fuel canister for easy transport. An improved valve and regulator facilitates the best simmer control of any upright stove on the market and maintains performance down to -6°C.
Fired-up at the push of a button, the Sumo features a drink through lid and measuring cup that protects the pot base when in transit. The stabiliser is included and clipped into the lid for storage, and the burner comes with its own velvet bag to protect the inside of your pot.

Are you able to order the larger pots on their own? I have the Minimo system, i just want a bigger pot.
G'day Anthony,
No, unfortunately. Jetboil used to do what's known as a "Companion Cup", which were generic short or tall cups that you could get as an extra, but they are no longer available.
You may be able to pick one up second-hand, or potentially an offshore retailer as catalogues in other countries may be different.
Hi, do you have a storage bag to suit the Jetboil Sumo? Thanks
G'day Dennis,
There isn't a specific storage bag designed for these, as they're pretty portable as they are with the top and bottom caps. If you're wanting to store it in something, then a Sea to Summit Stuff Sack in XSmall or Small (depending on how much extra room you need) would be our recommendation.
G’day, will the MSR ceramic skillet work well on this (using the pot support)?
G'day Johnny,
Yes, you can use the MSR Ceramic Skillet on the Sumo Stove, you'll just need to use the pot support, and keep the heat down a little lower than when you're boiling water in the main cup.
Hey Snowys I just wanted to know what size dry bag/sack the Sumo will fit in Cheers
G'day Alicia,
We've tried this out for you, and confirm the Sumo Hiking Stove fits in the 4L Sea to Summit Dry Sacks.
Just bought Sumo from Snowys. Does the Gasmate 230G Canister fit the Jetboil. I want to grab a 24 Canister Bulk Pack.
G'day John,
The Lindal valve will fit the attachment on the Sumo, but as to whether it will fit in the cup we're not 100% sure. We don't currently stock that particular canister, and sometimes the 230g canisters are slightly different sizes. The Jetboil 230g canisters we have fit, but it would be worth double-checking before you grab yourself 24 canisters.
Hi I presume the pot diameter is the same, the sumo is just taller? Thanks
Yeah, the diameter is pretty much the same, Gary, the Sumo pot fits on to the MiniMo stove and vice-versa.
Hi. Do you have the Sump cups seperate?
G'day Linda,
We don't have any of these currently, but if you'd like us to chase one up for you just send us an email to service@snowys.com.au and let us know you're after a Sumo Skirt, part number 141873.
Some stores advertise the piece is separate and $20 which seems a bit ridiculous!! I’ll be buying from your store if you assure me the piece comes with the sumo!
G'day Sam,
I've just opened up a box to double check our stock and the Jetboil Sumo Hiking Stove definitely comes with the port support and the fuel can stabilizer.
Do the symbols on the sleeve on the cup change colour when the water has boiled.
G'day William,
The logos on the Jetboil Sumo cosy aren't temperature sensitive sorry mate, so they won't change colour like the logos on the cosy of the Jetboil Flash.
Hi Snowy's. Does the Sumo have the same ability to simmer like the Minimo?
It does indeed Garry. The Jetboil Sumo now features the same regulated burner that was first released on the MiniMo which gives you good simmer control, unlike the Jetboil Flash which is best kept for boiling water quickly.
