Whenever you need a battery powered light source, whether it’s for your upcoming camping trip, or when the power goes out, the Companion X 300 Nova LED Lantern will have you covered.
It provides you with high for bright light, low for longer battery life, and has a slow flash green LED indicator which will help you locate it in the darkness. This lantern has 300 lumens of maximum output power thanks to the 3 x ultra bright 1 watt white COB LEDs. To run it, you need 3 x 1.5V D cell batteries which are available separately.
For area lighting, you can just remove the top lens, and the built-in hanger hook on the base allows you to hang it up wherever you need illumination. Whether you’re lighting up an outdoor eating area, tent or house in a blackout – the X 300 Nova LED Lantern is a solid choice.

How differ from blue Primus Nova Max 300 you sold 2 years ago?1 answer
2 years ago you sold me a blue, very similar-looking 300 lumen Primus lantern. A competitor currently lists the older blue one, with the same model number as your red one. The handle in your picture is a slightly different shape to my older blue one, and the Primus logo has changed (was blue oval in silver rectangle). Do you know if there are any other differences?
Lisa - Attadale, WA(6 years ago)
G'day Lisa,
Other than a few minor aesthetic differences there isn't a whole heap different between the old and the new model of the Primus Nova Max 300 LED Lantern, the light itself is the same.

Does the emergency flashing green light drain the battery 1 answer
Does the emergency flashing green light drain the batterys
Dudley - Adelaide (7 years ago)
G'day Dudley,
The green LED indicator does consume a very small amount of power from the battery and naturally, there is a drain but it's a very prolonged drain which is probably only noticeable over a period of months/years.

How many lumens do I need?1 answer
Just wanting to know how many lumens I would want to light up the inside of a tent and at a stretch a table outside?
Donnelle - Melbourne(7 years ago)
G'day Donnelle,
It's a little hard to give you a straight answer, as there is no hard or fast rule when it comes to recommending lumens.
We'd say that a 300-lumen lantern should be bright enough for inside a tent, or to use outside for lighting up a table. But you would probably need a lantern for both inside your tent and outside to light up each area properly Donnelle.
