Not all of us need to light up a footy stadium but usually, we want enough light for the camper trailer or a medium-sized setup and that’s where this cost-effective, full-featured Lifestyle 4 Bar Orange & White LED Camping Light Kit from Hard Korr fits the bill perfectly.
Without sacrificing any of the quality for which Hard Korr is renown, this kit provides a maximum output of 2,300 lumens through 2 x 50cm bug-reducing orange/white camp light bars and 2 x 50cm white camp light bars. Simply run the 3m cigarette/merit plug lead into the 2-way splitter to create versatility in your lighting setup with illumination options for both inside and outside. The splitter feeds into the dimmer switches – one for each set of lights - and operates through an easy dial/click mechanism with a nightlight included on the orange/white dimmer so you can find it in the dark. The light bars themselves have Rare Earth magnets at the top and bottom for strong attachment and solid epoxy resin coating over the LEDs to protect them from damage. Tuck your dimmers away to make this kit completely waterproof at an IP68 rating, and breathe easy knowing that the cables are heavy-duty and double insulated to prevent voltage drop.
All that plus minimal heat output and low power consumption make the Lifestyle 4 Bar Orange & White LED Camping Light Kit from Hard Korr outstanding value for money and perfect for the occasional camper or those looking for a budget-friendly setup.

I've misplaced those handy velcro ties and can't bring myself to fix them on each time by using a one-time zip tie (not really a sustainable solution). Do you sell the velcro bits separately, or have another suggestion?
G'day Nathan,
We don't sell them separately, but you could try contacting HardKorr to see if they're able to provide you with some.
Alternatively you might be able to find a cheap and easy DIY fix from a haberdashery store like Spotlight.
Can you get a a plug for If you want to run these off mains power ?
G'day Ryan,
I'm assuming you meant 240V, in which case either of these transformers will be just the ticket.
Which every one you go with (they have different Amp capacities) will depend on the size of your lighting system.
If its just this kit, the 36W transformer should be ok, but if you want to extend it or add more lighting in the future, go with the 60W option.
Is there an alternative way other than the 12v cigarette/merit plug to connect these to a power source such as the Companion Rover? Don't want to have to unplug the fridge!
G'day Paul,
You can just pick up a 12v cigarette double adapter from Jaycar or similar, which will allow you to run 2 x 12v cig appliances. As long as your load doesn't exceed 10A you'll be fine.
If you have an Engel or new Dometic you should have the posifit terminal which will allow you to utilise the 2-pin output.
Hope that helps.
in the photos it shows an older style but in the videos it shows a new style dimmer for the orange and white LED's, can you confirm which one is included in this pack please?
G'day Adam,
The Lifestyle 4 Bar Orange & White kit comes with two different dimmers, one for the white bars, and one for the orange/white bars. If you have a look at the beginning of the comparison video Ben outlines these two dimmers, they are the dimmers supplied with the Lifestyle Kit.
Concern the car battery will run flat. How to use off grid if bush camping?
G'day Jemma,
Yes, they do require a 12v power source to work, so if you do not have a portable battery system or solar panels, etc you'll need to plug it into the 12v port of your car.
Fortunately, the draw of power on these light systems is quite low, and you'll only really have need of using them for a couple of hours max each night.
If there is any concern you can occasionally start up your car and let it run for a bit to keep your battery healthy, via the alternator, if you are in one spot for several days.
Hey, When it specifies a 2.4a power consumption, is that when using all 4 light bars? For example, would it be a lower consumption if I only used 1 or 2 light bars?
G'day Sam,
The 2.4A power consumption if for all 4 bars, so if you used 1 or 2 you would use less.
When lights come on from the motion detector they default back to white even if you have them on orange how do you change this
G'day Matt,
I've just checked the specifications that Hard Korr list for the motion detector, and they indicate it needs to be used instead of the dimmer wheel that allows switching between white and orange. We don't actually sell the Motion Sensor Kit, so we've not tried it out, but based on the information on the Hard Korr site, I don't think you'll be able to get them to swtich on in orange mode.
Is it possible to add more orange/white bars?
G'day Matt,
Yes, you can add extra bars into this set with no trouble at all however you would need to limit each string to 2-3 light bars.
If you need more than 2-3 light bars, you can add them on a separate string of lights with their own dimmer.
