If you want to use your Hard Korr lights from a 240V powerpoint, then the 240 36W Transformer is exactly what you need.
This extra low voltage adaptor allows you to plug in your LED lights to the connector without needing to cut or solder anything.

Is it compatible with the Planet Earth area light?
G'day Lou,
This transformer delivers 3A, and the EPE Area Light requires 2.5A. So as far as we can tell, without actually trying it out, you shouldn't have any issues.
Will this run a Kings light kit?
G'day Michael,
We don't sell Kings products at all sorry, so cannot confirm compatibility with their light kit.
Having said that, I do believe the connection on the Hard Koor Transformer is a generic 12v lighting kit one, so you may have success.
If you are local to one of our stores feel free to bring in one of the Kings light bars to check it out.
Sorry - I'm also a little confused. I have just purchased a Hard Korr 4 bar, 3 colour 12V system from you guys (it's great!). I'd also like to power the lights from 240V. However, I don't understand how this transformer will connect. That is, the 4 bar lighting system is powered by a cigarette lighter male connector (changeable to a Merit Plug). As this clearly will not receive the male cigarette lighter plug, does this allow the Merit plug to connect somehow?
G'day David,
The 12V cigarette/merit connector in the 4 Bar kit attaches via the pin and screw mechanism directly to the dimmer switch. Instead of attaching the 12V cigarette/merit connector, you attach the 240 to 12V transformer using the same pin and screw mechanism.
Yet the package contains an IEC power cable, which implies a free-floating pack. Which is it?
G'day Doug,
The product is a plugpack as the images shows. The the fixed cable is IEC with the all connectors internally built within the transformer. Ive been intouch with Korr to clarify their product description and they've agreed it is confusing, and will re-word their product specs. Thanks so much for your question, and hope that helps!
How does it connect if it connects?
Hi Benny,
This connects to the same plug your 12V adapter/cord would attach to your 4 light
I hope this answers your question.
How long is the cord? Where does it plug into the system?
G'day Cath,
The cord on the 240V to 12V Transformer has a 119cm long cord.
Will this run all five light bars in a Korr kit
Hi Shane,
The output stamped on the transformer is 3000mA, or 3 Amps. Each light bar draws 0.6A, so adding all of these together comes to 3 Amps total. As all the Korr connections are good and designed to be used with each other, mathematically you can run all five light bars from this transformer, but you're right on the edge.
Ideally, in order to ensure the best performance, you want to aim at drawing around 80% of the total transformer output, so with all five bars running there's a chance you will experience a small dip in lighting output.
I hope this helps.
