What mesh floor or tarp would you recommend? And is there any attachments that would fit this ?
G'day Krissy,
The 2.44m x 2.44m Ultramesh tarp would be a great option, it would cover the floor area of the tent, aswell as giving you some coverage in the vestibule/awning area.
There arent any accessories specifically designed for this tent, but depending on what sort of thing you are after, there may be an option from another brand. Let us know if we can help nut something out for you!
How high is the floor please
G'day Mel,
The bucket floor reaches up 15cm on all sides.
Hope that helps!
Hi. What color is this tent? Khaki right?
G'day Joy,
Yes, we'd describe the Swaggers colour as Khaki.
Watching the videos, it looks like the inner tent roof touches the fly at the four roof corners, at the end of the composite poles. Can water get through at these points and wet the inner? This also looks like points where condensation inside the fly will wet the inner.
G'day Richard,
I have 2 swaggers which we've used in some crazy weather, and not had any issues so far. The last trip had heavy condensation but there didn't seem to be any transfer, possibly because there's no opportunity for pooling in that area, an it keeps running down towards the ground.
The only point to make I'd say, is that the fly is tensioned well, including tracer springs if you expect windy nights.
If your fly is abit slack that's where you'd run into issues.
Which Footprint would you recommend that's suitable for this?
G'day Samuel,
The dimensions of the floor space are 240L x 180W, so anything around that size would be ideal.
If you want it larger to cover the awning space, then you can go large, but just be aware this means you may have to peg through the footprint.
In this case, just be sure to set the footprint up the same each time so you can will reuse the holes.
Would a stretcher in these be ok for the floor or would a mattress be a better option
G'day Michael,
A stretcher will technically fit, however, the swagger is quite a small tent and I dont think it would be a functional option.
The maximum head height is 120cm, so if you have a stretcher with an average height of 45cm, that only gives you around 70-75cm above it, which isn't enough to sit up. You'd also have significantly less space if you add a mattress to your stretcher as well.
I'd recommend a mattress option if possible!
How many pegs does this tent come with usually?
G'day Julian,
We don't currently have a display model to double-check this for you, however, based on the peg points and what Ben used in the video there should be 10-12 pegs with the Swagger 2P.
I see that this “hybrid” doesn’t come with a mattress like a swag. Is there room in the bag for a mattress to be rolled up in there so it’s a one piece bit of kit, or must it be separate like a tent?
G'day Fayley,
I've checked with our display stock and the bag is only designed to fit the Swagger in it and not designed for extras!
These don't come with a mattress like a typical swag?
G'day Brad,
The Swagger is a bit of a hybrid instant tent/swag, so they don't come with a mattress. You can use any type of matters you'd like in them.
I am keen on the Swagger 2P tent. Just wondering how this will be rated for wet weather capability?
G'day Iea,
Coleman rate this tent at a 1500mm waterhead rating. To make sense of this, have a read of our blog on Waterhead Ratings. 1500 makes for a waterproof tent which should be adequate for wet weather camping.
Hi is It nice and dark inside for sleep ins in morning
G'day Steve,
The Swagger doesn't have any blackout fabric, so it will be about the same brightness as a standard tent when the sun comes up.
The 3p is detailed with a internet sleeping length of 210 while the 2p specs state the sleeping area of the 2p to be 240cm. This is 30cm longer than the 3p. Could you please confirm the actual sleeping area length of both units please. I am very tall and a 30cm longer sleeping area is a big selling point.
G'day Bruce,
The length on both the 2P and 3P is the same and is 240L cm, the width is the difference between the tents. The 2P width is 180Wcm, and the 2P width is 210W cm.
