The Instant 1P Swagger Tent is built for those solo outback slumbers under the stars.
Boasting a lightweight but robust frame, this tent offers a simple, one-person operation – so you pull up, set up, and be settled by sundown. A durable 150D polyester construction bears the rough and tumble of outback brutality, while a robust PE floor withstands the wear and tear – the ultimate butler beneath your feet. Draw out those arvo hangouts with superior airflow thanks to ventilation through door, window, and ground vents too.
For outdoor durability from the ground up, the Coleman Instant 1P Swagger Tent is where rugged meets royalty.
Not really a question but just the way for improvement. I’ve had this swag for over a year now and the only thing I don’t like about it is it let’s too much light in. Is there the blackout system coming for this swag in the future at all?

G'day Mark,
Not that we know of at this stage. There is darkroom versions of the other sizes, so I would have assumed that the 1P would already be available in a darkroom version if Coleman had it planned. I'd say at this point in time, its not on the cards.

Swagger rain1 answer
Gday guys How will this go in a heavy down pour (tropical ) compared to a typical Darche/23Zero hoop swag ?
drew - Bakewell, NT(1 year ago)
G'day Drew,
The swagger has a 1500mm water head rating, so in theory is only a 2-3 season tent. I personally have the 3P version with the same specs, and they have seen a few heavy rains over winter in SA - having said that though, it's not the same as tropical downpours. I would probably lean more toward considering a swag with an additional compact tarp that you can set up as shelter over your swag, which will keep the immediate area around dry aswell.

Other brand stretchers1 answer
Hi would this fit on the Oztent rs1 stretcher
Tim - Seven Hills, NSW(2 years ago)
G'day Tim,
It potentially could, but we've not tried it out and cant say for sure. The Swagger specific stretcher comes with special locking pins that anchor the Swagger 1P tent to the stretcher. Any other generic brands of stretcher bed won't have this same level of compatibility. Hope that helps.

Swagger vs swag1 answer
What is the advantage of the Swagger 1P over a traditional swag?
Tracey - Sydenham, VIC(2 years ago)
G'day Tracey,
The Swagger is actually a tent, not a swag, but has been designed with similar colouring, and the 1P has the advantage of being able to be used with the Swagger specific stretcher. Much like a normal tent, you would need to consider a mattress and bedding as an addition, and these need to be removed and packed up separately - compared to swag where the mattress stays inside, and in most cases can also be packed up with bedding.
The Swagger generally packs smaller and weighs less than a swag of similar size because of the lighter tent materials instead of swag canvas. It's not so much that they can be compared, or that one has an advantage over the other, but more so a question of whether or not you want a compact tent, or you want a swag.
Hope that clarifies things abit for you!

Mattress 1 answer
Which Coleman mattress is suited for this swag/tent? Would a self inflated or air mattress suited for this tent?
Normann - Cambridge Gardens, NSW(2 years ago)
G'day Normann,
The sleeping area of the Swagger as mentioned in the specifications, is 210L x 100W. Any mattress that fits within these dimensions would work, but if you're looking at 10cm thick mattresses, I'd recommend nothing wider than 90cm due to the taper of the walls. I personally would steer away from air mattress', they have no insulation and tend to puncture easily - if you do prefer air beds, the the All Terrain XL would work. If you are after a Coleman self inflating mattress, the High Peak Single would be the best choice. Hope that helps.
