This tent is constructed from 260sgm polyester/cotton ripstop canvas with PU waterproofing and features 550gsm PVC zip off bucket floor with adjustable corner anchoring points and a sturdy internal aluminium frame. In warm weather, the adjustable tropical fly helps prevent condensation and provides more airflow while the star gazing window provides a heavenly view as you drift off. Stash your everyday essentials in the internal storage pockets and sleep soundly on the 65mm high-density open-cell foam mattress which also has a water-resistant cover.
Keep out insects out while enjoying the views from the large full-width side windows and get airflow through the built-in air vents. Just extend the easy-to-use alloy telescopic ladder for access and pack it down into the laminated 600gsm PVC tonneau cover when it’s time for the next destination. With the Darche Hi-View 1400 Roof Top Tent, you’ll have a home away from home while you’re exploring the open road.

the Hi view 1400 rooftop tent . does it have a hardcase type cover when folded up,.....or is it a softcover
G'day Chris,
The Hi-view 1400 is a soft-cover style rooftop tent.
What roof rack would this fit?
G'day Thomas,
Darche's Roof Top Tents are designed to mount simply on most capable after-market and O/E Crossbars and roof racks from any brand.
Whether or not your vehicle is suitable depends on the Static and Dynamic roof load rating. Darche recommend contacting your vehicle manufacturer or dealer for advice on roof load limits and factory installed bars and or racks before making a decision on the best Roof Top Tent for you.
Thanks
G'day Sam,
We'd recommend removing your bedding before packing away your rooftop tent. You might be able to leave a blanket or compressible quilt/sleeping bag in the tent, but it might make it too thick to close properly.

G'day Mitchell,
The Panorama model uses a heavier-duty canvas and PVC cover, it also incorporates a checker-plate baseboard. The Hi View has lighter weight canvas, and PVC cover, but does feature a slightly thicker mattress.

G'day Tony,
There isn't a specified weight rating for the tent itself, you'll be limited by the roof load rating of your vehicle as suggested.
