The no-snag zipper makes it easy to get in and out of hassle-free, while the roll control features makes packing up a breeze. When it’s time to hit the tracks, just pack it up into the compression bag for compact storage and transport. Stay cosy when you camp, with the roomy Big Game Deluxe Sleeping Bag from Coleman.
I have the -12 poly Cold Mountain bag now in an 1100. Size is good but I find it slides around too much on my black wolf self inflating mat. I like that it’s a canvas bag, but how would it compare size and quality wise to the Alaska.
G'day Rob,
The Coleman Big Game is slightly smaller than the Alaska Black sleeping bag although the Big Game is a little bit heavier and packs up bigger. Both have a poly-cotton fabric shell and a flannel lining, 23 Zero has a slightly better construction and quality with plenty of good reviews from both of them. They are both great bags and would slide around less than the Polyester bags.
Would you recommend this sleeping bag in a Swag
G'day Jared,
Yeah, absolutely. The Big Game sleeping bag is a really common option for swaggers.
Should keep you nice and toasty.
Hi can you put 2 of these together?
G'day Karen,
Yes, you can. They'll be opened up flat & sandwiched together instead of side by side.
There will be a zip running from the center out and up on both sides.
Hope that helps!
Hi there, just wondering if I can zip this sleeping bag together with a Pilbara C-5 sleeping bag? so I can have a warmer top layer when they are zipped together. I can see they are slightly different sizes, just curious.
G'day Brad,
I'm assuming you are talking about zipping them together to create a double bed-sized sleeping bag?
If so we've had this question before on the Pilbara page, so I'll share the answer here:
We know the Big Game C-6 and the Big Game Deluxe C-12 are compatible, as we've tried them out in-store.
According to Coleman The Big Game Deluxe C-12 and the Pilbara/Mudgee sleeping bags are not compatible.
If you are wanting to pair two sleeping bags together, Id recommends going with the two different Big Games (C-6 and C-12) for the best outcome.
Hi, what is the Snowys rating for this one please?
G'day Mariska,
We dont have a Snowys rating on this one as yet, but general customer feedback suggests you'd be struggling in -5ºc or colder.
Coleman don't do official standardised EN testing to get their comfort ratings, so its good to take them with abit of a grain of salt.
If you've got a good, well-insulated sleeping mat, I'd say -5c would be a good ballpark. You can always take an additional blanket to go over the top if you are needing to stretch it further.
Hi there. I have a Coleman Big Game C-6. Wondering if I purchase a Coleman Big Game C-12 will it zip together with the C-6? Could I have the thicker C-12 on the bottom, zipped together with the C-6 on top?
G'day Paul,
Yep, you sure can. We have both of these models on display at Kes, so gave it a shot intore.
Is the sleeping bag lining (not the removable liner) flannelette also? Or is it just the removable liner that is flannelette?
G'day Steph,
Yes, internally the blue checkered material is flannelette, the removable liner is a fleece material.
Hi could you confirm this includes a pillow and removable liner included. Thanks Jason
G'day Jason,
Yes I can confirm they include a pillow and removable liner, I had one out of the bag only a few weeks ago to check the Q&A for Stephen whose question is below.
When you compare the C -6 to the C-12 the measurements and details are identical on both sites is this correct if so what exactly is the difference?
G'day Stephen,
We've just whipped these out and had a good look as we were as stumped as you were! Coleman must've made an error in their catalogue, as we've weighed the C-12 in at a heavier weight, and larger size. It also comes with a fleece liner that can be removed and washed. We've updated this information now, so if you jump online now and check it will show the update and verified details.
Hi, is there are drawstring at the top of the sleeping bag?
G'day Elizabeth,
I've just double-checked, and there is no drawstring at the top of the Big Game Deluxe C-12
What are the cleaning recommendations
G'day Kellie,
We've not yet seen this brand new pre-order bag to double-check the washing instructions however given that it has a cotton canvas outer we'd suggest steering clear of machine-washing it, unless you can wash it in a front loader on gentle cycle. The Big Game C-6 which is a similar material is recommended for spot cleaning, or hand washing only, so we'd assume this will be the case with the Big Game Deluxe C-12 too.
I can't tell from the information/image if this bag fully opens to a blanket? Can you please confirm?
G'day Kate,
Yes, the Coleman Big Game Deluxe C-12 can open up like a blanket, however as the sleeping bag is quite large it will be the equivalent of a standard King sized home quilt.
Hope that helps!
Hi, was just wondering what is the packed dimensions of this bag so I know what size it is when it is in its cover?
G'day Suzanne,
The packed dimensions are currently listed under the details and specs section. These are a brand new product so we've not yet seen them, but the packed size Coleman is providing is 50L x 32W x 32Hcm.
