Super-charge your camping experience with Goal Zero’s smallest and most lightweight Power Station, the Yeti 200X.
This high-quality Li-ion NMC powered unit provides high-speed charging through multiple USB ports, including USB-A, USB-C and USB Power Delivery port (input and output). There’s also a 12V cigarette port so you can charge the 200X whilst on the road driving to your campsite, or a 100W solar panel will do the job in about 3 hours with full sun. The AC inverter is stronger than any previous small power station at 120W with a 200W surge, making it the ideal power-house for running anything that’s USB charged, plus almost all small tool batteries.
Ultra-portable with improvements across the board – size, weight and performance, plus the built-in maximum power point tracker, the Yeti 200X from Goal Zero is an effortless grab-n-go solution to powering up when you’re off-grid.
Does the 12 volt charging lead come with it if not how much are they and do you have them in stock ?
G'day Lyle,
We don't carry the 12v charge cable, but they are available through Goal Zero directly here.
Hey, will this work with the joolca system (showering/washing dishes)?
G'day David,
We're not too familiar with the current Joolca models, but if the power requirement is via a 12V cigarette plug, then as long as it doesn't exceed 10A then you should be fine.
Could u run a standard Kmart juicer &/or blender off it?
G'day Grant,
You can find the AC output info in the specifications, but Ive copy and pasted it below:
AC output inverter – 230V AC, 50Hz, 1A (120W, 200W surge)
As long as your particular appliances power requirements are within that units output capabilities (which you can find on a sticker), you should be fine. Bear in mind this is a 13Ah power pack, so its overall capacity is on the lower side, so you may not be able to run any high power 240v appliance for long.
I have a set of 4 bar strip lights I think it is 2Ah to run. I'm new at this whole electronic charge stuff. So could you estimate how long it would run my lights for?
G'day Jenny,
In general, you can use up to 80% of the 13Ah capacity of the Yeti 200X. Based on a 2Ah consumption your lights should run for around 5 hours.
Is this safe to use/store within a car during summer? ie. is it suitable for high temperature, non vented environments?
G'day Bob,
Goal Zero lists the operating temperature as 0-40C, so we wouldn't recommend leaving/storing the unit in the car during summer.
With Solar panel input will this operate a 240v battery charger ?
G'day Mel,
It might be able to operate your 240V battery charger, however, it will depend on the wattage of your battery charger. The Yeti 200X has a maximum 230V AC output of 120W, with a surge max of 200W. I'm not sure what type of batteries the charger is for, but you'll need to double-check how many watts the unit is to know for sure.
Hey guys, How many hours I can run a six bar light on a full charge?
G'day Manoj,
The Yeti 200X has a 13Ah battery, and the 6 Bar LED 3 Colour Kit will draw approximately 3A per hour, so you'd be looking at approximately 4 hours of run time.
My laptop still has a 240v lead only... The yeti 200 used to charge it will this one too
G'day Andrea,
Yes, the Yeti 200X has a built-in inverter, so it can be used to charge 240V devices upto 120W, with a 200W surge maximum. As the inverter is a modified sine wave inverter we wouldn't recommend using the laptop while it is charging.
Will this boil a few kettles as well as run a small radio, charge a laptop and phone?
G'day Sre,
No, you won't be able to boil a kettle with this unit. The 240V output is limited to 120W, with a 200W surge. The average kettle will use 1000-1200W to boil. We'd recommend taking a gas stove to boil water, as portable batteries won't be able to run a kettle. You should be able to run a small radio, charge a phone, and charge a laptop though.
Can this portable battery run a camping fridge 50 litre
G'day Geoff,
The Yeti 200X has quite a small 14Ah battery, and is designed for small devices, it really isn't a large enough capacity to run a 50L fridge. You'll need to consider the 500X or 1000X models for a 50L fridge depending on your needs and recharging options.
Can you charge the yeti at the same time that you have a fridge drawing power?
G'day Ruben,
You can charge and use the Yeti 200X Power Station at the same time, however, it is designed for small devices, and most fridges will be drawing too much for this power station to be a suitable option. We'd recommend the 500X or 1500X model if you're wanting to run a fridge.
How does this compare to the Companion Rover Lithium?
G'day Sam,
The Yeti 200X has a much smaller capacity (13Ah vs 40Ah), however, it also has a built-in 240V inverter, so essentially acts as two devices in one. The Yeti 500X is probably a better comparison in terms of battery capacity. The major difference between these Power Stations is the inverter, so if you need to be able to plug in some 240V devices, then the Yeti will be more suitable, however, if you just need 12V, then the Rover will do the job, and is great value.
