If your conventional burner stove struggles as soon as the conditions deteriorate, then upgrade to the reliable and windproof design of the Windburner Stove System from MSR.
This inclusive system provides you with a 1L stove and pot/mug that securely locks on when in use. The stove features a radiant burner, that is closed off from the wind, so you can boil water fast, even in unideal conditions. It also has an internal pressure regulator that prevents the wind from affecting its performance.
The pot has a built-in heat exchanger that efficiently transfers heat to the pot quicker than other conventional stoves that only use convective heat. With drinking and straining ports on the lid of the pot, and an insulated cosy with handle – you can brew a hot drink and sip it straight from the source.
Finally, everything also nests neatly inside the pot for compact carrying. For high performance on your solo expeditions, you can’t go past the steadfast Windburner Stove from MSR.

Can I buy the solo windburner but buy other MRS pots singularly to add on and expand cooking options?1 answer
As this product only comes with the small 1L canister/pot can I individually buy other MRS pots and add on.
Crystal - Perth(4 years ago)
G'day Crystal,
The Windburner is designed just for use with the 1L pot it is supplied with. The Windburner heat exchange system isn't compatible with other separate MSR pots, unfortunately.

Do I have to use MSR gas cylinders with the Windburner?3 answers
Getting hold of MSR cylinders may be problematic
Trevor Young - Hobart(6 years ago)
G'day Trevor,
We do sell MSR gas canisters but we can't ship them to you sorry mate. Try 'Find your Feet' in Hobart, they're great people, happy to recommend them.
Tim - Snowys(6 years ago)
Thanks Tim,
I guess my question should be: can I use other branded gas cylinders of the same type with the Windburner?
Trevor - Hobart(6 years ago)
G'day Trevor,
Yeah, you'll be fine to use alternative brand canisters but to get the most out of your Windburner make sure you look for a canister with a 4 season blend similar to the MSR.

2018 Models1 answer
Will you be getting the 2018 models that have the remote burner and the new wind burner pots and pan in soon? Thx
Scott - Sydney(7 years ago)
G'day Scott,
I've just given the importers of MSR a quick buzz to see if I could get some sort of ETA on the MSR Windburner 1.0L Stove System 2018 model. They told me that the 2018 model of the 1.0L hasn't changed from previous and it's only the 1.8L and larger that have the new remote burner.
Ben - Snowys(7 years ago)
does it come with the gas cylinder1 answer
thanks
john - carindale(7 years ago)
G'day John,
The gas cylinder on the MSR Windburner 1.0L Stove System is sold separately. We have the cylinders available in store but we can't ship them, unfortunately.
