There's something charmingly Australian about the humble whistling kettle. I'm pretty sure they make tea or coffee taste better. And they've moved with the times with the Campfire Whistling Stove Top Kettle, available in 3 striking colours - cream, navy, and black.
Made from coated 304 stainless steel, it's ideal for home or travel use on an electric or gas cooktop or stove. With a 2L capacity, it's big enough for the extended family. An integrated handle and flip-top spout make pouring easy and safe.
Don't waste your battery on boiling the kettle. Go old school and enjoy the whistle before you wet yours.

Boiling time1 answer
How long does the kettle take to boil water on a portable single burner butane gasmate stove on high?
Kymmie - Geraldton(5 years ago)
G'day Kymmie,
There's a lot of factors that will come in to play when it comes to boiling a kettle on a butane stovetop, so it's hard to give an accurate answer. We'd say it'll take anywhere from 5-10 minutes depending on the water temperature, ambient temperature, gas mix used and wind.

Is the Campfire made of stainless steel and dies it have an encapsulated base, which provides faster boiling time & therefore saves gas ?1 answer

Sue - Lilli Pilli(5 years ago)
G'day Sue,
This whistling kettle is very basic in design and make but unfortunately doesn't have an encapsulated base. Alternatively, the Ozpig Big Boar Kettles are more robust in their make including the encapsulated base your after and can be used on a range of cooktops.

Is the kettle all metal in construction?1 answer
I am looking for an all-metal, Black or Blue, tea kettle. Preferably with a whistle. Don’t want any plastic on the kettle, as might use in a solar oven.
Cecilia - Port Macquarie(5 years ago)
G'day Cecilia,
Its not clear on the all black image, but if you look at the blue or cream kettle, the black handle and spout section is entirely made from plastic. Unfortunately we dont sell any all metal whistling kettles. As far as non whistling kettles, the only one that would tick that box is the Enamel Kettle.

Is this kettle induction compatible?1 answer
I'm trying to choose the best option for my induction hotplate, solar oven and camper stovetop (gas). ta
Julie - Perth(8 years ago)
G'day Julie,
I've just gone down to the shop floor and had a look at the packaging of the Campfire Whistling Stove Top Kettle, and it says on this product that it's compatible with gas, electric or hiking stoves so it wouldn't be suitable for use with induction products.Â

Will this fit inside the Campfire pots?1 answer
Hi just wondering if this will fit inside the 16cm red ceramic Campfire brand pot?
Sorry to be a pain. Could you tell me the diameter and height please?
Russ - BEECHBORO, WA(9 years ago)
G'day Russ - I've just measured one up. It comes in at 18.2⌀ x 17H cm. So no, it's a bit big to fit in a 16cm pot. If you're wanting something that won't take up much room in storage - a big deal for caravanners, I know - check out the Sea to Summit X Pot Kettle (#45268) or Companion Pop Up Kettle 1.5L (#42845) and 2.5L (#44126). Just paste those codes into the search bar above to go to those products. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul
