After a long day exploring the great outdoors, chances are you’ll want to find a big comfortable seat to sink into, and that's where the Vipor XVI from Darche comes in.
The Vipor is the perfect chair to use in the height of summer as it’s breathable and super comfy thanks to the foam padding and layer of mesh on the seat and back. With a waterproof Neoprene panel that’s also sewn at the front of the chair, you won’t be sliding around while you’re trying to eat your dinner during a heatwave. The top of the chair also curves to form a little headrest, so you can comfortably lean back for an afternoon nap.
With a detachable storage pocket that features two Velcro pockets, an insulated pocket zippered pouch– you can settle down for a rest without having to get back up. The other side has a drink holder that is retractable, so it can be tucked under for easy storage. When it comes to good quality camping gear Darche really know their stuff, so you can trust that their products are well worth the investment if you're a serious outdoor enthusiast.

Darche Vipor XVI Vs 23Zero Senator1 answer
The Darche Va\ipor XVI appears to look like the 23Zero Senator. How do they compare and which one would you recommend over the other for comfort?
Scott - Sunbury, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Scott,
Apparent from colour and fabric texture these chairs are identical. I've sat in them both, side by side and there is no difference in comfort. If you forced me to pick something of difference id say the Darche Vipor XVI feels light it has slightly more padding in it, but the difference is negligible. Whichever chair you choose will ultimately give you the same experience, so in this case, you'll need to go off which one you like the look of!

Seat width1 answer
Could I ask what the inside width is please. At a rating of 150kg I hope the seat also accommodates a larger figure. Also what is the true pack up size. The closed dimensions convert to approx 25cmx25cmx11cm which would indicate a square, not what is pictured in the bag picture. Do you honk it would be easy to carry across sand to sit at the beach?
Yvonne - Delacombe, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Yvonne,
The width of the fabric seat is 57cm. The packed dimensions are the correct size, as is the weight of 6 kg. Whilst I'm sure the chair would be quite comfortable to sit on at the beach, it is large and very heavy, and probably wont be something you'd want to lug over sand unless it was a short distance.

Height of the seat back1 answer
Just wondering what the height of the seat back might be as I'm 6'6" and would like something with a nice high back. Some of your advertised chair specifications state the height of the back but most dont seem to have it in the specs.
Peter - Launceston(5 years ago)
G'day Peter,
I've just had a chance to measure this for you, the back length is approximately 68cm at the longest point in the centre of the headrest.

Would this chair hold a regular sized beer in a stubby holder in that beer holder? 4 answers
Beer size
Jason - Port Hedland(7 years ago)
G'day Jason,
I've just tested the Vipor XVI with the display bottles and cans we have in store, and it looks like the stubby holder on this chair will hold a Crown Golden Ale Bottle, a Hahn Superdry bottle, and a regular soft drink can. Hope this helps Jason!
Emily - Snowys(7 years ago)
But are they in a stubby holder all ready, I was wonder if a beer in a stubbie holder would go into that holder.. thanks mate
Jason - Port Hedland(7 years ago)
Apologies Jason! I jumped the gun there and didn't read your question properly.
Have got a stubby holder and an empty beer bottle and tested it with this chair (again) and it does fit a beer bottle with a stubby holder on it.
Emily - Snowys(7 years ago)
Bloody ripper! I like the high set, firm seated fold up chairs, but there's not many options for a stubby holder in the arm.. this is the next best thing so looks like it's this one for the win! Thanks mate

Compare Darche Viper XVI to Oztent King Koda1 answer
Just requesting your opinion of comparison of Darche Viper XVI & Oztent King Koda. I am 6'2" & have had similar chairs to King Koda design - I have found after awhile you tend to sink in a shoulders & neck round off. The Viper does appear to have a good straight high back - both brands are good kit just wonder which one for me - hope you can help
Gene - Caringbah NSW(7 years ago)
I just had a quick sit on both of these for you Gene, and there's not a lot of difference.
The Darche Vipor XVI does have a longer flatter and slightly more upright back, and it does initially feel like it would stop you sliding forward as much as the King Kokoda Chair. It's a bit hard to know how they compare after a few hours but based on your concerns my gut feeling would be to recommend the Darche Vipor XVI for you.
