For versatility when snoozing on your adventures, the Venture Vt2 from Sea to Summit is the adjustable and women’s specific choice.
This bag features a tapered rectangular shape, which has a wider hip area and narrower shoulder to cater to women. The unique fill is comprised of layers of looped THERMOLITE® insulation which traps warm air to keep you comfortable and has extra insulation in the footbox to help prevent chilly feet from waking you up.
This sleeping bag also features a free-flow triple zip design which allows you to ventilate on hotter nights as well as stay toasty warm when you need to. With a half zip on the left so you can fold the top third down, and a full-length two-way zip on the right and a separate foot zip so you can use it as a quilt.
The shell and lining are made from lightweight and easily compressible nylon to keep the weight and packed size down while the -5°C comfort rating and -12°C lower limit make it better suited to colder sleepers, or cooler conditions. If you need a synthetic sleeping bag that’s adaptable for different conditions, look no further than the Venture Vt2 from Sea to Summit.

Which liner would be best for this sleeping bag? I am looking for one that would give some extra warmth.
Ann - Canberra, ACT(3 years ago)
G'day Ann,
Being a tapered rectangular bag, Mummy shaped liners would be best. If you are looking for added warmth the Sea to Summit Thermolite range of liners would be the best way to go. Be mindful though that whilst liners can help, they realistically wouldnt add too much additional warmth, so make sure you've got a got R-value mat of 4 or more, and a sleeping bag with a comfort temp as close lto the owest temperatures you'll be in as you can.

regular vs long1 answer
Planning on this plus the men's Traverse bag. Would the long & long join better? Or regular join with long OK? For male 6 ft & female 5ft 6. Prefer a little wiggle room.
Chris - Melbourne, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Chris,
The zip that connects the two bags is the same length across the two models and both lengths, so we'd recommend choosing the bag based on the height you need, which I'd say Long for both if you want some wiggle room. Your head and shoulders will both sit at the same height, and then the foot section will differ between the Traverse and Venture due to the overall length.

Why is there a weight difference with the Sea to Summit website?1 answer
Just wanting to clarify the weight that you have listed for this bag - on the Sea to Summit website it lists the bag as 1550g. Where does the 200g difference come from - is your measurement when it is measured with the stuff sack and Sea to Summit doesn't include this? Thanks for your help!
Jazmine - Melbourne(5 years ago)
G'day Jazmine,
We're really sorry for the confusion! We have discovered that many of the product specs that have been provided by Sea to Summit are slightly different from what we calculate. There are many variables that can affect the weight and Sea to Summit are recording theirs in the factory at the time of manufacture before it has been packed for retail distribution. It's likely that small additions like the stuff sack and cardboard cards for both their quality certification and warranty will contribute to the increase in weight. I've just double checked our recorded weight and can confirm that on our scales, the Venture Vt2 LONG is 1.766Kg. Hope that helps :)
