Are you a bit…broader in the shoulder? Or, like George Costanza, you don’t like to be too constricted when you sleep. “I like to be able to take the blankets and swish them and swirl them.” The Sea to Summit Trek Tk1 is the sleeping bag for the traveller that likes a bit of extra room.
The Trek Tk1 has a tapered rectangular design which provides extra room compared to a mummy style bag. To keep the weight down and ensure that it’s compressible, the shell is made from durable 30D nylon, with a soft and breathable 20D nylon lining. To keep you warm, the Tk1 is filled with RDS certified 650+ Loft ULTRA-DRY Down which provides superior lightweight insulation.
To prevent the zip getting caught, there’s an oversized zipper draft tube and this bag has vertical chest baffles help stop cold spots and down migration. When the temperature rises, open up the full-length two-way side zip and separate foot zip and use it as a quilt. If it’s a chilly night, you can just zip it up and draw in the 3D hood to trap extra warmth.
You can also keep track of essentials such as your phone or headtorch by storing them in the internal security pocket. Be comfortable and get a great night’s sleep on your adventures around the globe with the versatile and classic Trek Tk1 Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit.

Hello, how much does the sea to summit trek tk1 weigh? On multiple sites it says 1.1kg yet here it says 0.750?
G'day Jakcob,
The TK1 is a previous season model, which ranges from 750-920g depending on the size.
The new season Trek -1 weighs 1.1kg, so perhaps other sites have the specification information confused between these to sleeping bags.
Hello, what liner fits best in this sleeping bag?
G'day Alisha,
Any of the Mummy shaped liners would be the best fit, depending on how much warmth you want to add you could use something like the Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner.
I'm 180cm tall, will the regular size be comfortable or should I upsize to the long?
G'day Sam,
The user height of this bag is 183cm, and you're under that - so no issues with the regular.
If you want more info, check out the 4:42 mark in our product video - Bens in the bag and he's 185cm.
Hope the helps.
Hi Are all the S2S trek series bags compatible, that is can you zip together a tk3 and a tk2 Thanks Mark
G'day Mark,
No, they're not unfortunately, the zip coupling system only works between S2S unisex and womens specific bags. Eg, the Trek zips to the Journey series.
This is due to the zip orientations being different on each bag. The unisex bags have a left oriented zip, the womens specific have a right oriented zip.
Which is warmer?
G'day Joel,
The Treeline is Sea to Summits entrance level down sleeping bag. It just has a side zipper, RDS 600 Down, and a standard storage sack. The Trek TK1 has a side and foot zipper, so you can open it out as a quilt. They have RDS 650 Loft ULTRA-DRY Down™, and a compression sack. Overall both options are good, with the Trek Tk1 having a slightly higher comfort rating, and lower weight.
If I want to connect two bag do I need one left side zipper and one right side zipper? If so do you sell the right side zipper?
G'day Tim,
The Trek TK1 Sleeping Bag can't be zipped to another Trek sleeping bag but can be zipped to any of the Sea to Summit Women's bags that are zip coupling compatible. The Journey Jo1 has a right side zipper is considered the counterpart for the Trek TK1 and Tk2, which have left side zippers.
Does this sleeping bag open all the way open around the feet?
G'day Amanda,
Yep! The Trek Tk1 foot zip opens all the way around so you can open the bag up completely, like a quilt cover. Check out the video on the product page for clarification on the features.
