What is the collapsed height of the Black Diamond poles?
G'day Frances,
Once collapsed, they measure close to 68cm long.
Hello! Are these good for both Men and Women? Just asking as I would like to get two for me and a man. Dumb questions, i know. How would we be able to adjust to each of our heights?
G'day Mitzy,
Yes these are unisex poles and great for both Men and Women. These are adjustable between 100 − 140 cm and have a flick lock system where you can undo these and adjust them to the length needed then flick the lock back over and it will hold in place.
If you adjust the length so that when you hold the pole with the tip on the ground near your foot, your arm makes a 90° bend at the elbow. This will be the right length for most of your hiking.
Hello, do these poles come with rubber tips for rocky tracks
G'day Mal,
These come with the carbide tips and you will have to get the rubber tips separately, you can use the Black Diamond Tech Tip − Rubber or Black Diamond Trekking Pole Tip Protectors.
Please can you advise The price is for the pair?
G'day Deborah,
Yep! These trekking poles come as a pair, so the price covers both.
You're showing these poles as weighing 590g/pair. However other sites, including the Black Diamond site, show the weight as 490g/pair. Can you confirm (maybe physically check) the correct weight please?
Hi Geoff, the Black Diamond packaging indicates 486g for the pair, but I just weighed one of the poles which came in at about 260g, making the weight of the pair a little over 500g. I'll fix up our details, but it would seem that the weight is between the two weights you have seen.
