The Shadee Moana Beach Shade does include a cross pole that joins the two standing poles. The pegs that are included are going to be much more effective on grass. If you want to grab some sand pegs have a look at our most popular option here.

I've just taken my measuring tape down to the shop floor to double check the pegs on the Shadee Moana Beach Shade for you. They measure at 370mm long and about 5mm thick.

The Shadee Moana Beach Shade Blue doesn't have a UV rating, no. The Shadee Fun Moana Beach Shades are rated at UPF 50 though, so if you're looking for something with a UV rating, they might be better suited to your needs.
