Save your breath and use an Exped Mini Pump to inflate your sleeping mat quickly and easily.
Connects seamlessly to the flat valve of your Exped mat and utilises compressible foam to facilitate pumping.
The Exped Mini Pump packs down to a tiny size in its own storage sack making it easy to take on your next camping trip.
I haven't used a pump before - how does this work? Do you use your foot or plug into the car cigarette lighter or do you need power?
G'day Judd,
This is a manual pump - you can use your hand or foot.
It fills with air, and you cover the hole whilst compressing to force the air into your mat.
Hope that helps!
Does this pump work with Exped versa 59Lw sleepig mat
G'day Tasmin,
The current Exped Versa 5R LW Sleeping Mats have an integrated hand pump in the mattress, if the mat has an integrated pump the Mini Pump is not compatible. If the mat is without the integrated hand pump the Mini Pump will be compatible.
Can it be used on Sea to Summit Comfort Deluxe Self Inflating Air Mattress
G'day,
The Exped Mini and Widget pumps are compatible with Sea to Summit mats - the valves on the Sea to Summit mats are slightly smaller, so you just need to wriggle the exped pump nozzle into place, but its creates a great seal and will pump efficiently.
Does it work on this mattress? Or do you have a recommendation? Thanks
G'day Judith,
We have tested the Sea to Summit Mat valves with this and yes the Exped Mini Pump does work with these mattresses. There is also the Air Stream Dry Sack designed for Sea to Summit mats for extra inflation.
Hi! I am considering buying an Exped Megamat. Will this included pump do the job when setting up the mat from initial 'packed away' mode or is it only good for topping up, and therefore I'd need to purchase the Widget Pump as well?
G'day Simon,
We recommend opening your mattress and letting it self inflate for a few days when you first receive it, before using it or going on a trip. This is purely to allow the foam to decompress and doesn't require any pumping additional assistance.
After this, the provided mini pump is more than adequate if you feel like your mattress needs more air.
Question as above. If not compatible, do you know any other manual pump that will go with Darche KOZI Series Queen mat?
G'day Joe,
The Exped mini pump is only compatible with the flat valves on EXPED or some Sea to Summit mats.
The Kozi mat has a fairly generic valve, but there isn't a direct compatible option.
Larger manual pump options like the Coleman Double Action, or the Coleman Manual Bellows will have attachments that will do the trick.
Hi there just checking if it would work with my mat.
G'day Martha,
We think the Mini Pump should fit the Synmat UL, however as we don't sell the UL version it is hard to know. They have a 20mm valve on them, so as long as that is what you have on your mat, it shouldn't be a problem.
Does this pump work with Wanderer Ultralite Inflatable may?
G'day Michelle,
Unfortunately, we have no way to know what attachment that Wanderer Ultralite mat has as they're a home brand of another retailer. Based on previous questions from another customer we don't think this will suit your mat.
Does this pump work with the Exped Down mat?
G'day Heather,
The current model Exped Downmat has an integrated hand pump so it isn't compatible with the hand pump. However, if you have an older model Downmat (more than 5 years old) without the integrated hand pump then yes the Mini Pump will fit.
We’ve successfully lost our Exped mega at pump after 2 uses....ahhhhhh!!! Is this one the right replacement? Hope so!!!
G'day Amanda,
I purchased the OzTrail mats and have never found them to inflate properly to get fully comfortable. Would love to know it this would work, much cheaper than upgrading the whole mat
G'day Michael,
I've just doubled checked and the connector on the Mini Pump is much smaller than the valve on the Oztrail Leisure Mats. It might help but wouldn't be ideal, you might be better with a rechargeable pump that has variable sizes pump adaptors, you can find it here.
Can you please check if mini pump fitting is 20mm? If so I'll buy asap, but I don't want the inconvenience and I'm sure you don't either of dealing with a return.
G'day Nick,
I've just found one and measured the valve and they are 20mm, so it should be fine to fit your Exped basic mat
I'd say the valve size is 20mm
G'day Nick,
As far as we're aware the Exped Mini Pump should fit all Exped mats that don't have an integrated pump.
as above
G'day Derek,
I really did think this wouldn't work but I've been onto the shop floor to try it out and it fits really nicely. You need to pop the non-return valve out first though, so in some ways, I still think the pump-sack Black Wolf provide with the Mega Deluxe mats is a better option as it will allow you add a bit of firmness to the mat.
Does this pump works with wanderer ultra lit?
G'day Julian,
Wanderer is BCF's homebrand, so we don't stock any of their gear. Looking at what I can find online, I don't think the Exped Mini Pump will fit but I can't say that with any sort of massive authority because I can't test it for you.
As above
G'day Rene,
Unfortunately, there isn't a pump that is designed to go with the integrated pump on the Exped Megamats at the moment, no.
Hi there I have a zempire megamat. Will this pump work with that? Cheers
G'day Fiona,
I've just compared the valve size with the display models downstairs, and it looks like the Exped Mini Pump is not compatible with the Zempire Megamat unfortunately, as the Zempire mat has a larger valve.
Is it universal or just able to use it with sea to summit as well
G'day Felicity,
I wouldn't say the Exped Mini Pump is a universal fit but I've just tried it with the Sea to Summit valve and it works perfectly.
Ive also tested with a Thermarest Prolite fitting and its fits inside the Exped Mini v snugly.. So all good .. Dont putting breath in my mats
