Hi team, would this work on the Quest Air Gazebo?
G'day Michael,
No it wont, mattress pumps are not strong enough to inflate structural air poles.
You'll need a air compressor designed for that purpose such as the Dometic Gale, or Zempire Supercell pumps.
Will the exped backpacking mat fittings fit on the flextail? ie. as the flextail is a more powerful pump, can i affix the exped pump attachments to flextail and use it to deflate the exped mat easier or quicker?
G'day Kim,
Without knowing the model of Exped Hike mat you have it's hard to say for sure. If it's one of the self inflating style SIM mats then you should be able to use it for quicker inflation using one of the adaptors (check the video with Ben as he outlines the adapters). In terms of deflating, it'll be quicker to open your valve, fold the mat in half and sit on it for a minute or two! If you've got the Versa or Ultra style mat, then you'll need to use the built-in hand pump.
Compatiable with BlackWolf Hexatherm 3D15 SP Queen Mattress ?
G'day Kelly,
The valve on the Hexatherm mattress is a little bit too big to use with the adapters supplied with the Flextail pump. There is one adapter that is almost big enough and could get some air in there for you but it doesn't create a seal. We'd recommend sticking with using the bag which doubles as a pump sack for the mat.
Hi does this inflate an inflatable kayak? And also can it inflate the Exped megamat or only deflate it,
G'day Marita,
No - no rechargable pumps will have the PSI required to inflate a Kayak.
You'd need to look at a 12v air compressor style pump - but which one you go with depends on the type of valve your kayak has.
It can inflate the Exped Megamat easily, and is abit fiddly with the deflate.
Hi will this work with deflating the exped megamats?
G'day Ari,
Check out our video where Ben demonstrates the deflate on the Sea to Summit Mat - it has a similar sized valve, so using that same attachment you shouldn't have any issues.
The valve on my roof top tent mat has an external diameter of 35mm. It’s one of those valves with the internal flap you rotate to inflate/deflate Does this pump have a fitting that would go over the outside of the valve? Alternatively do you have a mat that’s 1150 wide x 2000 x 100?
G'day Tony,
It will work to inflate no worries, but depending on the size of the valve on you mat the deflate will work but be abit fiddly.
The Flextail pump wont click into place, so you'll need to hold it against the valve.
The Darche Supreme Snoozer is the closest mat we have to those dimensions.
does this fit nemo hiking mats? i have the alpine one?
G'day,
Yes, its compatible with the Nemo Alpine sleeping mat.
It comes with a few different attachments for varying nozzle sizes. There is also a video link on our website if that helps.
Will this deflate the Darche All Terrain Matt?
G'day Mark,
The pump comes with a range of attachments that make it compatible with pretty much any mat on the market. The attachments work with both the deflate and the inflate ends.
Whilst we haven't tried it with the All Terrain Mat, the valve it has is a very common one used on a range of different brands - some we have tried. You shouldn't have any issues!
Can this be used to deflate self-inflating mattresses?
G'day Alana,
Yep, it can - we've got a product review video for this one coming out soon where Ben will run through the performance.
Keep an eye out for that!
Hey, just wondering if this can be used to inflate the Zempire Monstamats? I've got one of the bigger twin sized ones.
G'day Hayley,
Yes it is, it comes with a few different attachments for varying nozzle sizes - it will work with the standard valve that comes on the Monstamats. Be mindful not to over-inflate the mattress though, if the bonding between the foam and the outer material of the mat separates, it cannot be repaired.
