Keep the Awning Repair Tape on standby to ensure that any punctures can be nipped in the bud when you’re on the road.
This repair tape has excellent resistant to tearing from any direction and has very aggressive adhesive on the back to ensure that it sticks to it’s intended surface.
If your awning rips or tears, you can patch it up on the go with the Awning Repair Tape.
Hi my darche awning is developing small holes. Is this the best tape to use for patching so the awning is still flexible enough to fold up ?
Helen - AUS(9 months ago)
G'day Helen,
Yep, absolutely. This repair tape is a great option for getting on top of those small holes, we recommend putting a piece on both sides of the canvas for longevity.

G'day Sue,
The RV Repair Tape is designed to repair heavy duty awnings, so it should be ok to repair your Gazebo. We do also sell K Tape which is what we'd generally recommend for Gazebo repairs.

Can this tape be applied to wet vinyl?1 answer
Can this tape be applied if the vinyl is wet?
Alice - Coffs Harbour(5 years ago)
G'day Alice,
I've double-checked and there isn't specific information, however the general rule of thumb with repair tape is to apply it to a clean and dry surface.

Will this hold long term to canvas1 answer
Have an old 80s jayco canvas pop up with a 3inch long tear - will this hold long term to canvas or is it more for vinyls etc
Su - Perth(5 years ago)
G'day Su,
I've just double checked the packaging, and this tape can definitely be used on canvas and is designed to resist tearing but doesn't state that it's a long term repair solution. In our reviews section other customers have found it works well on ahering to their awnings, however. Hope that helps, Su!

Can this be used on tent floors?1 answer
Hi there, We have a few small holes to patch on our Black Wolf tent floor (older version). Can this be used effectively to patch the tent floor holes? Which is more effective - Lifesafe RV Repair, Tear-Aid Tpye A or Tear-Aid B Type B? Which would you recommend out the 3?
Karen - Parramatta(6 years ago)
G'day Karen,
Thanks for your enquiry. If the holes are quite small, you could probably use the Gear Aid Seam Grip WP Sealer & Adhesive to mend your tent floor. If you think you'll need something to cover a larger area, the Tear-Aid Type A Fabric Repair Tape will do the trick.

Can this be used on Vinyl Awnings2 answers
The discription does not mention vinyl. All photos appear to be fabric
Nigel - Chisholm(6 years ago)
G'day Nigel,
I've doubled checked the packaging and whilst they don't specifically say vinyl they list sails, canvas, awnings, rainwear, tents, napsacks, pool covers, canoes and seat covers. If it'll stick to such a wide variety of materials I can't see vinyl being a problem but as I can't test it I can't 100% promise it'd work.

Used the RV tape to repair caravan awning it had slightly frayed allowing rain to seep through. After one month the tape started to simply fall apart. Exceptionally difficult to get off as it comes off in little bits. Absolutely useless and has created a real problem to get it off.
