Polyester and mesh repair?1 answer
I need to repair some fairly large tears a wombat made trying to break into our Zempire pronto tent. He went through both the polyester and the mesh. Will this product be suitable for both layers?
Sarah - Mornington, VIC (4 months ago)
G'day Sarah,
Wombats can be crazy, we've heard a few stories lately of wombats damaging tents. This repair tape will be one of the best options, outside of getting the tent professionally patched. You'll want to make sure you're double layering the repair tape - both inside and outside of the fabric.

Oztent seam repair1 answer
I have an older RV4 and the seam sealing tape is lifting in quite a few areas, would this be suitable to repair or would something like gear aid seam grip be better?
G'day Snowys, I have a 12cm (L) by 5cm (W) tear in one of the arms of my Quest Air 8 tent. Do you think this would do the trick? Would you try and patch inside and outside of tube?
David - Newcastle East, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day David,
If the tear is only on the outside fabric part of the tube, and not the air tube itself then this would work. It is best to patch the inside and outside of the tear for the best repair.

Tent floor repair1 answer
I am wondering if I should be using this Type A repair kit or would a Type B be better for a Black Wolf tent floor? The information seems to indicate Type A is good for more applications. I am reading into this the Type A will be tough enough. Your advice would be most welcome.
Jon - Margate, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Jon,
The Type A Repair Tape will do the trick. Type B will be a bit overkill for your Black Wolf Tent Floor.

Different to Repair Tape?1 answer
Hey, I’m just about to run out of my first batch of tear aid. I notice Gear Aid is quite the popular brand as well... are they technically the same? Cheers
Larissa - Melbourne (4 years ago)
G'day Larissa,
They're pretty similar to be honest, with both brands being fairly popular. Personally, I tend to use the Gear Aid tape, but the Type A Tear Aid Tape, and the Gear Aid Tenacious Tape are very similar and will do a very similar job.

size1 answer
hi. are these small patches, or is it a roll?
connie - West Croydon(4 years ago)
G'day Connie,
There are a few patches in the packet of varying size, have a look under the external dimension section for the size of each piece.

“On the goâ€.1 answer
The description mentions that these are great for repairing “on the go”. Does that mean that these are not a permanent solution and something else is recommended instead? I have a zempire aero tl lite with a 0.5cm hole
Murray - Reynella (4 years ago)
G'day Murray,
The Type A Repair Tape is 'on the go' in terms of being an instant fix, that doesn't require waiting for glue to set etc. The Tape is a semi-permanent solution that should last for a number of years when applied well.

Will this work on small tears in heavy shade cloth1 answer
We have strong winds at times
Ernest - Berry Springs(5 years ago)
G'day Ernest,
The Tear-Aid Type A Repair Tape is generally designed for solid fabrics as it has an adhesive backing. We'd probably suggest a Tent Repair Kit that has some screening material you can stitch in, or grabbing some shade cloth from a local hardware store and stitching in a patch.

Aaron - Thornlie(6 years ago)
G'day Aaron,
The Tear-Aid Type A Fabric Repair Tape is one of our most popular go-to solutions for canvas/ cotton canvas repair. They're exceptionally strong and should adhere instantly to the chosen surface.
