If you’ve got your mitts on an Eclipse Awning 180° from Darche, and you’re looking to add more shade to it – then look no further than the Eclipse Awning 180° Wall Set.
Constructed from Darche’s rugged and high quality proofed polycotton ripstop canvas, this wall will stand up to the harsh Aussie climate. You can set this wall up as a weather and windbreak, or as an extension of the Eclipse 180° Awning.
Once this wall is set up and anchored down, you can get approximately 16.5m2 of coverage for your awning - depending on the height of your vehicle. Take your Eclipse Awning 180° to the next level, with the compatible wall from Darche.

Are these compatible with the new freestanding 180 awning?
G'day Ryan,
Darche have indicated that the Gen 2 wall sets for the 180 and 270 awnings are compatible with their new Freestanding Awning models.
The only consideration is that the added weight of the walls hanging off the awning will require you to use the poles.
Does the wall set attach to the awning via Velcro at the top?
G'day Peter,
The Awning attaches via the zips under the awning to the zips on the awning walls, not velcro for this one.
Hi - have darche come up with single panels for the walls for the 180 yet?
G'day Karen,
We haven't seen any singular walls for the 180 Eclipse yet sorry, just the whole wall set is what's currently available.
I'm going camping shortly where I know it can get quite windy. When I put up the awning, this time I'll be putting up the wall set too to help with the dust and privacy. Do I still have to peg out the awning before putting on the walls or can I just peg the walls down, will that be enough for a really strong wind? Thanks
G'day Sandra,
Based on the situation you have described, and long as you are fully pegging the walls, you shouldn't need to peg the awning guy rops down as well. I would encourage you to use your own common sense and judgment though, and if the wind is really kicking off and you can see your awning is struggling, chuck a few more guy ropes in the ground.
Will this cover the kitchen of a Jayco JPod Outback?
G'day Ellie,
It's possible that this will fit, but we don't actually know how large the kitchen of a Jayco JPod Outback is. The awning extends out perpendicular to your vehicle 2m, and the square edge parallel with the vehicle is about 2m. The full length of the awning at the vehicle side is 6m, so hopefully this will help you work out whether it will cover your kitchen.
Just wondering if this will fit on a dual cab Ute with no canopy attached?
G'day Jacinta,
It's hard to give a definite answer, however I can give you some informtion that should help, you'll just need to measure the distance between your roof racks. The 180 Awning mounting plate is 220cm, and Darche indicate that the unsecured length of each side of the awning or the distance between the ends of the awning and the supplied brackets should not be greater than 600mm. Distances greater than these may cause excessive vibration through the awning resulting in the potential failure of fixings. Based on this you'll need an absolute minimum of 100cm between your roof racks.
It will fit on a roof rack on top of a dual cab itself. A mate has his fitted to a Rhino Rack on top of a Ranger dual cab. I've seen a 270 awning on a no canopy dual cab.
Is there anyway to add back walls so that the awning is completely enclosed?
G'day Rachel,
Unfortunately not no, the 180 awning wall set only covers the 3 main faces of the awning. The front side will generally come fairly close to meeting the vehicle, and the rear side has been left open for easy accessibility into the awning and the rear of the vehicle.
I know, 2yo question but I have recently found the answer to this. I noticed that the open sides have sail tracks. So I purchased Eclipse Ezy Front awning 2m wide. Slides into the sail track, peg it down and Viola! Not perfect but it's a good fit and certainly gives the privacy. One against the front of the car, one at the back where it's normally totally open. 5 walls in total.
Hi Snowys, will these walls be compatible with both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 180 awnings?
G'day Kevin,
Yep! The Darche Eclipse 180 Awning Wall Set is compatible with both generations of the the Eclipse 180 Awning
just wondering if u can buy any separates for this model? i just needed a single panel recently when camping and didn’t want to have to put the whole thing up.
G'day Kelly,
Unfortunately not. The Eclipse 180 Wall kit is only available as a single panel to cover all 3 sides. None of Darches other wall options, or the 270 wall kits are compatible either as the zip coupling set up is quite different. Sorry to not have the answer you were hoping for!
We have a 270 awning on our camper trailer and are hoping that this will attach as side walls to this.
G'day Benita,
The Eclipse 180 Awning Wall Set won't attach to you 270 awning sorry. The wall set for the 180 is one continuous panel to fit across the three sides, whereas the 270 awning has three separate wall pieces, one that does the equivalent of the first two sides of the Eclipse 180. So, unfortunately, the zippers won't be compatible to work in the way you're hoping.
Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but does this fit into the awning bag or does it have to go in its own separate bag?
G'day Tim,
You won't have enough spare space in the Ecplise 180 Awning Bag to store the Awning Wall Set so you'll have to keep them somewhere separately in the car.
