I've recently fell in love with the Zempire Monstamat Twin Camp Mat for it's comfort and would love to know if i'm able to fit it into the Duke ... the measurements say it should be ok, but I can't tell for sure if it'll fit due to the corners at the head end. Any chance you're able to confirm before buying this one?
G'day Victor,
Yes, you can put the Zempire Monstamat Twin in the Duke. It won't be an exact fit, but there is enough leeway in the length and width to make it a fairly good fit.
What are the poles made from?
G'day Daniel,
These 23 Zero Swag Poles are made from 19mm Coated Steel.
Any recommended stretchers that this swag could sit on? Would like to take it to the snow and don't want it sitting on the floor getting wet!
G'day Jay,
You can definitely pop a 1400 swag on a stretcher, however, all of the double-width stretchers have a bar running down the centre, so you'll end up with two fairly distinct hollows on either side for each person. If that works for you, then the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher and the Kamp-Rite Queen Kwik Cot are good options that will fit the width of this swag, but you will have slight overhang on the ends, which should cause too many issues.
Hi there, just wondering what the differences between the outbreak and Duke are? It only appeared to be the shape. Are there any certain benefits of one compared to the other?
G'day Mitch,
Primarily the differences are the size and shape. The materials, both fabric & poles are the same across the 23Zero swag range, and so is the manufacturing quality.
The Duke comes in two different width options, so theres abit more felxibility there, and they also have more poles giving you more of a rigid frame structure. This would be an advantage for snow load in the highlands, and possibly even heavy rain where your swags getting pretty wet & the canvas is getting really heavy.
Otherwise, entry and exit is through the half length door panels.
The Outbreak has the advantage of space and headroom throughout the whole swag, and full-length side doors. If you want abit more internal space overall, these are a great option - especially if you can forsee trips where you may need to spend abit of time in your swag.
Does this swag also use the extra swag awning pole set? None of the imagery I could find shows them in use
G'day Trixie,
The Duke has eyelets on the bottom corners of both main doors. If you want to use swag awning poles, you absolutely can, but these are an optional extra & don't come with the swag.
Hope that helps!
There are no videos that I can find that review this tent
It's on our to-do list, Alexander, but it’s a particularly long list nowadays and I can’t make any promises to have the video ready any time soon sorry. Let us know if there is anything specific you want to know, and we'll do our best to get you some answers. ~ Ben
Just want to know how waterproof it is, I am guessing that it is somewhat waterproof, as it does not come with a fly, but some other tents that are very similar do come with a fly, so I am unsure if it is fully water proof or not
These are just as waterproof as any good quality polyester or nylon tent, Alexander, I’ve slept in a similar model from another brand for three nights at a very wet festival earlier this year and stayed warm and dry inside. ~ Ben
