Is there any version longer? With a 10cm mattress the length is considerably reduced as the walls at in an angle.
G'day Marcelo,
The Compact Double Tent Cot still has tapered walls, but the angle is a bit gentler and there's a few more centimeters of length.
In the single versions there is the Oversized Tent Cot, which gives you 10 more cm of length.
the rainfly and the main body of the tent look like they are the same material. Would you recommend that i would need to put up the fly at all times (just in case it rains)
G'day Handsome,
We've just double checked with the specifications team and the only information that Kamp-Rite (the manufacturers) indicate is that the Double Tent Cot is waterproof when the fly is on. So in light rain, I would suggest you but the fly on to be
I noticed in one of the answers on your Q&A you post a link to the Kamp-Rite website to show how the cot looks packed up. I noticed on that page it states a different material/nylon grade than what your specifications page says? Please confirm which nylon the cot uses. Thank You.
G'day Ben,
Both specifications for the fabric are correct. D refers to denier, while T refers to thread count, but they reflect the same type of nylon fabric. We'll look to update our website to reflect both figures for clarity.
Hi guys, would you know if the cot is still foldable with some bedding left inside? I'm thinking a layer of 10mm foam, blanket and pillows.
G'day Sang,
We wouldn't recommend folding the cot up with bedding inside as it's already quite a tight fitting fold and this would place extra stress on the brackets, straps and stitching which would eventually result in damage. You might be able to get away with leaving your mattress inside but would likely need to remove your blanket and pillow.
Hi there, I've seen videos online that show this tent only has one door access with the rain fly on. Can you confirm if this is the same for the models you stock?
G'day Sang,
I've just double checked with the manufacturer, and the fly on the Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot comes with 2 doors - one on each side.
Does this fit a queen self inflating mattress or only a double?
G'day Kendy,
We actually don't have a display of Kamp Rite Double Tent Cot, but from comparing the dimensions which are 213L x 135W with the double mats in our range, and allowing for 5cm for the sides of the cot - the Darche All Terrain 1300, or the Megamat Duo look to be a good place to start.
On the American website it says 10cm but yours says 1?¿?¿
G'day Justin,
I've just checked this for you, and the bottom of the Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot definitely measures 1cm - in fact it's more like a thin layer of insulation/padding than a mat.Â
In general we always recommend that you use this cot with a mat inside it, as it's not going to be comfortable or warm enough on it's own.Â
Kindly confirm the dimensions (sleeping), as the ones given, don't make sense. (smaller than the single-cot..?) A picture of the folded pack would be great. Thanks.
G'day Tom,
I apologise for that little hiccup there, there must have been a little mix up with those dimensions when we launched our new website - I do apologise for the confusion!
I've just updated everything now to reflect the correct dimensions and the Kamp-Rite Double Cot measures 213L x 135W cm - it's a little bit shorter but wider than the smaller models.
If you have a look at the Kamp-Rite website, they have some images of this tent packed flat in its bag, and when it's laid flat (with the legs still up) which you can check out here.Â
Do you sell spare parts eg the clips that attach to the roof poles and the roof poles and prices please
These are not readily available items sorry Bob, we'll need to get in touch with our supplier for price and availability information. We won't be able to get in touch with them until Monday though sorry, I've made a follow up note so we can get back to you then with some detail.
Hi Bob, I've just been in touch with our supplier about this, and there are spare parts available. Price for the pole is about $30 and there would be a freight component to sending it to you, the clips are a minor cost and we would be able to help you out with a few of these. You'll need to get in touch with us - 1300 914 007 so we can grab some details and get back to you with a final cost and delivery time.
Hi Andrew, I’ve just double checked the supplier’s website and Kamp-Rite don’t have any other colours available for the Double Tent Cot model, so we’re stuck with just green at the moment.
Hi John, the maximum recommended weight as per Kamp-rite’s website is 500lbs which is about 226kg.
I've had double stretchers before and the middle pole is a real pain can this one be removed so you can sleep in the middle?
I can't visualise where this pole is and how it might affect the comfort of this tent.
Will the tent cot still be useable if you removed the middle pole?
Is there a pole down the middle that separates the 2 sides so you can't spread yourself out?
