Providing the shelter of a tent and elevation of a stretcher – the Bunker Pro from Oztent gives you the ultimate’s night sleep on any terrain.
This shelter is extra-large so it has a little more length and width for your comfort outdoors. In inclement weather, the extra reinforced heavy-duty cross leg steel frame keeps you off the cold ground, and the 8oz polycotton fly will protect you from the elements. In warmer conditions, the elevated bed provides all-around airflow, while the superfine mesh protects from insects and can be zipped in and out for versatility. The base features sewn-in padding for comfort and warmth, and the interior organiser pockets and expandable vestibule allow you to store your gear within arm’s reach while you sleep.
Easy to set up, pack down and transport – the Bunker Pro from Oztent will make setting up shelter on your solo adventures an absolute breeze.

Hi guy's if I have one of these could I use this inside an RX 5 sleeping compartment without the fly etc instead of having a separate stretcher for the RX5? Thanks for any help you can give me :0)
G'day Nick,
You could if you set it up right near the doorway, running side to side.
Due to the taper of the tent, it wont be an option to set it up any other orientation - its not the best combination as it will make it difficult to functionally use the rest of the space inside the RX5 tent.
Planning to put Monstamat in this. Is the built in foam mattress sufficient as a thermal barrier between the ground/air and the monstamat. Or would I need to put in a 2cm CCF mat under the monstamat to insulate the monstamat from the cold
G'day Rem,
The built in mat on the bunker doesn't have any insulation rating, so adding a mat in would be the way to go for winter trips.
The mat will need to be removed for pack up though, the bunker won't collapse down with anything inside.
Hi I see the Oztent bunker pro has a water head rating of 1500mm, is there any risk of water getting in ? Canvas tents and swags I have had previously have a water rating of > 3000mm
G'day Tom,
The Bunker Pro uses the same 8oz Ripstop Polycotton Canvas as the RV range of tents and rarely gets any leaks. The 1500 mm water rating means the fabric can sustain 1,500 mm of water on top of the fabric before it can leak. There shouldn't be any risk of leaks in fair/moderate weather, if you are getting consistent heavy rain you might want some extra protection from the rain.
Hi, with the Oztent bunker pro, can you leave your self inflating mattress and sleeping bag inside and pack up like a swag ?
G'day Tom,
No, you can't. Stretcher tents fold up like a tent essentially, the frame collapses and folds in on itself in a specific way - unlike swags that stay flat & simply roll up.
You'll need to make sure all your bedding is removed from a stretcher tent before you pack up.
Will the Oztent rivergum sleeping bag fit in the Oztent bunker pro
G'day Steven,
Yep, you can absolutely use a Rivergum sleeping bag in the OZtent Bunker Pro.
Hope that helps.
Great videos, just wondering if the fly can remain on during setup packdown to avoid all the internals getting drenched during setup packdown when raining. Thanks!
I'd recommend removing the fly, Bohdan. Leaving it on will make it difficult to fold, but more importantly, you risk pinching the flysheet in the frame as it folds which could create a hole in the waterproof fabric.
Hi, I have an older version which is around 64cm wide internally around the folding part in the middle, as such the Magamat (77cm) rubs quite significantly against the tent, and its sidewall could easily be damaged by the zipper if not careful. Could you please confirm the narrowest width for this new version?
G'day William,
The sleeping space in the Oztent Bunker Pro is rectangular, so there is not tapered section.
The width internally from wall to wall is 86cm.
Hope that helps!
What’s the ideal mattress width? Appreciate it says 90cm sleeping room, but ideally would like a mattress to fit within any rails so that it doesn’t rise up on either side. If that makes any sense at all. Many thanks Snowys.
G'day Sam,
We've tested the Bunker Pro out with a few mattresses that are all around 75-80 wide. They tend to allow enough space for the bars as you indicate, and give you a nice comfy sleeping area. The Exped Megamat 10LXW and Zempire Monstamat King Single are our most popular options. You can find them in the "You might also like" section at the bottom of the product page.
We recently bought the Bunker Pro. I haven't used it yet but was wondering if we need to season it first before use?
G'day Brett,
Oztent have indicated that there is no need to season the Bunker Pro.
Hi, which zempire monstamat would be the best fit within the stretcher?
You've got about 200cm in length and 90cm in width for the sleeping area in the Bunker Pro, Calan, so the King Single Monstamat at 199L x 77W cm should fit nicely.
I would be looking to get something a bit more comfortable, what would fit and what would you recommend? Thanks
G'day Evan,
The mattress thickness is really just the insulation in the top of the stretcher section to help insulate from rising cold under the stretcher. We generally recommend pairing it with a self-inflating mat for extra luxury and warmth. Jave a look under the "You might also like" section for the best options.
Wondering what's the difference between this one and the older version. Cheers guys
G'day Joel,
Previously Oztent made the Bunker (canvas material, 200L x 83W x 143H cm), and the Bunker XL (polyester material, 210L x 90W x 140H cm). They now make two models that are the same size (210L x 90W x 140H cm), with the Pro made from canvas, and the Lite made from Polyester.
