Additional solar mat connection to current setup1 answer
I have a Hard Korr 170w fixed solar panel connected to an iTechDCDC25 (solar charger) which can manage up to 25A input at 9-32V. Can I use this splitter lead to connect an additional Hard Korr 200w solar mat to my current setup? This would allow me to "top up" the battery on occasions. I believe the amperage from these two solar panels combined will be ok (less than 25A) however not certain about their voltages combined whether it remains around 18V (like each of the individual solar inputs) or they add together up to 36V? Thanks for all your help, great products and service.

G'day Vincent,
We haven't tested anything like this out, but based on all the info you've provided you shouldn't have any issues. Connecting the pannels that way will increase the amps but not the voltage, which will remain around that 18v mark. Hope that helps.
