Suitable as just a bed?1 answer
Hi there, Is this suitable as just a bed. My plan was just to use this with a sleeping bag. Thanks
Steven - Kalkallo, VIC(2 weeks ago)
G'day Steven,
Yes, if you're in a tent or under a shelter, then you can use this as a bed with just a sleeping bag.

Nebula - how to peg out the corners1 answer
If you put the nebula on top of this, how do you peg out the corners to stop them from sagging? Do you need to purchase additional guy ropes?
P - Coburg North, VIC(3 months ago)
G'day P,
The ends and sides of the Nebula Swag will slightly overhang the 1400 stretcher, this helps keep it in place but you will need to use guy ropes to help the swag keep its shape.
I would recommend purchasing 4 x extra guy ropes to attach to the loops on the 4 corners of the swag, then pegging the guy ropes in the ground. This will help create structure and keep the swag secure.

1400 23zero Bandit. 1 answer
Hi, Will a 23 Zero 1400 Bandit fit and work nicely on this stretcher? Thanks
Alex - Kinross, WA (3 months ago)
G'day Alex,
We havent tried this combo out in person, but you should have any issues using the Bandit 1400 swag on the XL 1400 double stretcher. Just bare in mind, if you're using the swag solo, that there is a central bar on the stretcher - you'll need to sleep to one side for maximum comfort.

Two Exped megamats on this3 answers
Would two Exped MegaMat 10 LXW fit on this side by side? Liking the sound of if to get me off the ground without having a bar down the middle for maximum snuggle factor
Jack - Canberra, ACT(10 months ago)
G'day Jack,
You can use 2 x Exped LXW single mats with this stretcher, but there will be abit of overhang on either side. We'd recommend looking at using a mat coupler aswell, just to make sure the mats don't move apart in the night.
Lauren - Snowys(10 months ago)
Hi Lauren, any real world experience with this? Not just based on dimensions/hoe much of an overhang?
Jack - Canberra, ACT(10 months ago)
G'day again Jack,
Yep - a double mat would be the better option, but if you've already got the 2 x LXW's or you're looking at getting two singles for the flexibility, then you'll be fine. Is there anything else you'd like to know?

Compatability with 23zero1 answer
Hiya! Would this stretcher work with the 23zero Outbreak swag? Thanks
Laura - Mount Gambier, SA(1 year ago)
G'day Laura,
While we haven't had the chance to test it firsthand, it looks like the Outbreak swag shares similar dimensions with the Darche Nebula, which we know fits on this stretcher. So, it's quite likely that the Outbreak will snugly fit on this stretcher with a bit of overhang on the sides.

Nebula1 answer
The Darche website states that a Nebula swag can fit on the stretcher. Does it actually fit as the dimensions are different? How do you secure the swag to the stretcher as well? Thanks.
Greg - Grange, QLD (1 year ago)
G'day Greg,
The Darche Nebula 1550 Swag fits nicely on this stretcher, and they've actually tested this combo. There will be a bit of overhang of the swag on each side since the stretcher is about 148cm wide while the Nebula measures around 150cm. The stretcher sits snugly underneath, and that overhang actually helps keep everything in place. Just make sure all the guy ropes are properly pegged out to ensure the swag stays nicely tensioned and stable on top of the stretcher.

Dimensions1 answer
G'day team, Can you please confirm the width of this stretcher's sleeping area? I know the page says the external dimensions are 148W, but is this from the tips of the bars at the head and foot that stick out, or the width of the sleeping area? Thanks
Lindsay - Telina, QLD (1 year ago)
G'day Lindsay,
I've got a team member to measure this and it has come to 131cm wide and 205cm long for the sleeping area not including the side bars.
