If your X180 LED Lantern Mozzie Zapper from Companion needs to be topped up, the Mozzie Zapper Tablets will have it ready to use again.
These tablets are non-toxic and release an attractant which is a chemical mixture that replicates the human body. This attracts mozzies so that they can then be zapped by the UV zapper on the lantern. Each tablet contains enough attractant for around 25-30 days after it’s been out of its packaging.
If your X180 LED Lantern Mozzie Zapper from Companion has been sitting in storage, the Mozzie Zapper Tablets will make it adventure-ready.

How to insert refill?2 answers
The refills have a foil membrane sealing the attractant in.. should this be removed before using or just pop it straight in zapper from the packet as is? Which is the right way up?
Sarah - Geelong(4 years ago)
G'day Sarah,
You'll need to remove the refill from the foil packet before popping it into the zapper. There is a diagram in the user guide that shows the correct way to fit the refill, the holes in the top should be facing you when you insert it.

My instructors that came with it on paper is different to this PDF on the listing here. You need to pop the cap off and pierce the foil membrane with the cap before putting the tablet in the unit.

Shelf Life1 answer
Hi How long will the tablets last in unopened packaging for use as spares? Cheers
Russell - Carlisle WA(5 years ago)
G'day Russell,
The X180 Mozzie Zapper Tablets don't list a specific shelf life while sealed. They'll need to be used within 25-30 days of opening the packet, but if they packet remains sealed we can't think of a reason why they wouldn't last for a few summer seasons.

What is the chemical in the tablets? 1 answer
Do the tablets emit an odour? And does the unit work in their absence?
Cath - Balmain(6 years ago)
G'day Cath,
The two major chemical components of the tablets are Vanillin and Propionic Acid. They do have a slight odour but nothing that I personally find too strong or off-putting. The tablets are designed to mimic the attraction of the human body so removing them from the unit will probably limit it's ability to do an effective job of killing the mozzies.
