Will the pot be overkill? 1 answer
Hi there, my girlfriends and I have just completed the Cape to Cape as day hikes and my hubby and I are getting prepared to hike-thru it next year. I'll be rehydrating my home a made meals at night (chilli etc) boiling water and rehydrating soups for lunch. Do you think that this size pot will be overkill for the two of us and should we look at the smaller one instead. We have a Jetboil Zip and a camp master stoves.
Brenda - Lesmurdie (3 years ago)
G'day Brenda,
The X-Set 31 is probably on the larger size for two people, however, I wouldn't say it is overkill. The flat-pack design is excellent, and overall they're not too heavy.

Sea to Summit 5 Piece Cook set1 answer
Hi...The written description for X-Set 31 5 Piece Cookset states that it is used on hiking stoves. Can it be used on regular sized gas camping stoves?
Glenys - Gold Coast(3 years ago)
G'day Glenys,
Unfortunately, these pots are suitable to use on a standard camping gas stove as the flame will be too large, and could damage the silicone sides of the pot.

bowl1 answer
Can you buy the collapsible bowls separately. We are a family of 3. Thanks
Is this bowl safe to use on a MSR whisperlite with the direct heat? Thanks
Tracey - Bangor, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Tracey,
We've not given this a go with the MSR Whisperlite, but it might be a tad too powerful and throw a slightly too large flame. These silicone sided pots are best used on smaller lightweight gas stoves that sit on top of the small canisters as if the flame licks up the sides of the pot it will damage the silicone.
