Coleman Hyperflame Fyreknight1 answer
Can this kettle be used on the Coleman Hyperflame Fyreknight?
Sue - Brisbane City, QLD (2 years ago)
G'day Sue,
It's not something we'd recommend, these kettles are designed to be used on a smaller hiking stove, or lower BTU stove with a smaller flame. Without physically trying it out, best guess is that the hyperflame would be too powerful.

Induction cooktop1 answer
Just wondering if this would work on an induction cooktop or by placing on a hotplate?
Belinda - Kellyville, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Belinda,
As the base is 5052 aluminium, it isn't magnetic, and therefore can't be used on an induction cooktop.

using this with trangia mini1 answer
Hi do you think this would work with a trangia mini (28T) or would the flames on that be too wide?
Sam - Brighton(5 years ago)
G'day Sam,
I think you would be ok to use the X Pot Kettle with the Trangia Mini. Given there is a flame adjuster on the top of the spirit burner you should be able to adjust the flame if needed.

Does it come with the 2 cups as shown in the video1 answer
X pot Kettle cups
Andrew - Lake Eacham(5 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
The cups shown in the video don't come with the kettle, they're showing them in the video to demonstrate that they fit. You can fit the X Mugs and X Cups inside the X Pot Kettle.

Is it possible to use the kettle on the small solid fuel hexamine stoves?1 answer
I was thinking of a hexamine stove and this kettle as a lightweight 1-2 night hiking set up when you just need to boil water for tea/coffee and rehydrating freeze dried meals.
Jason - Seaford Rise(5 years ago)
G'day Jason,
Theres no reason why you couldn't, but as the sides are silicone you'll just need to make sure guard the flame so it doesn't exceed the aluminimum base! Hope that helps.

Use on camping stove?1 answer
Is it possible to use these on a camping stove like the coleman hyperflame?
Daniel - Mornington(6 years ago)
G'day Daniel,
The X Pot Kettle is recommended for use on lightweight hiking stoves. There is a ring on the bottom of the kettle indicating the maximum width of flame suitable, this is generally smaller than the multi-burner camping style stoves like the hyperflame.
