Who says you can’t take a frypan hiking? The lightweight Sea to Summit X-Pan features cleverly designed handles for easy packing and cooking.
This frypan is made from 5052 hardened alloy (thicker than that used in the X-Pot range), and high-grade stainless steel hinges to hold folding handles in place. Each handle has heat resistant food-grade silicone grips providing comfortable handling for a cook-up of any size.
Designed to nest a 2.8L X-Pot inside, the Sea to Summit X-Pan contributes to a complete cooking system for the gourmet trail chefs and lightweight campers alike.

Wondering whether there's a non-stick (i.e., Teflon) coating on this pan?
G'day Emmylou,
These are hard anodised aluminium, so whilst not specifically a "non-stick" coating, it does do a similar job.
As the X range is designed to be used with higher output hiking stoves, just be careful to not crank the heat too high - it is alittle challenging to get heavily burnt food off the base of these, as you need to be conscious not to scratch them.
That's not to be a deterrent though! The X range is hugely popular, its just good to be aware of how to get the best out of them.
Handles look clever but do you need both hands to hold pan?
G'day Derek,
Yes, the X Pan is designed to be held using two hands when removing from the heat, with one on either side, a little like a stockpot. You can use one hand to secure the pan when stirring/flipping food during the cooking process.
Can this be used in an induction cooktop?
G'day Kirsten,
As the base is 5052 aluminium, it isn't magnetic, and therefore can't be used on an induction cooktop.
Can you cook on a jet boil stove with this pan?
G'day John,
You shouldn't have any trouble using the Sea to Summit X Pan with the Jetboil Stove.
Just wondering if a delta plate will stack neatly in the x pan and if the 1.4 L x pot will stack neatly in the delta plate. If this is the case it would make a very usable and compact, bike camping cook option.
G'day Angie,
Great news, I've just tried this combo and it is a perfect fit, what a good idea!! The Delta Plate is the largest in the combo, so the pan will nestle in the plate, then the 1.4L pot inside the pan.
