Compatible Mat1 answer
is it compatible with Zempire Monstamat Twin Camp Mat?
Javier - Reservoir, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Javier,
It's not directly compatible as the Zempire mats use a larger valve. Some people do use them though, just manually holding the Widget pump up to the valve, as it has a one way flange, it will inflate. Hope that helps.

Darche swag air volution 9001 answer
Can this pump up the darche air volition swag ? (I have a lower back issue and the std floor pump supplied is not good for my back re bending over to pump it up) (darche probably won’t recommend it re warranty but will this work as it’s a back saver if it does)
Terry - Burns Beach, WA (1 year ago)
G'day Terry,
So sorry for the delay in getting back to you with this one! The widget pump isn't suitable for pumping up air swags & tents as they require a higher PSI for structural stabilization. People commonly use an air compressor with a compatible attachment as an alternative, you just need to be mindful not to over inflate the air tubes. Hope that helps!

Mountain design comfort 101 answer
Does the pump fit mountain design comfort 10 self inflating mattress?
Rob - Queanbeyan, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Rob,
We couldn't say for sure as we don't sell the Mountain Designs Comfort 10. They are designed to fit the Exped valves, it looks to be a similar size, it could possibly work if you hold it up against the valve to create a seal.

Compatible with Big Agnes1 answer
Is that pump compatible with a Big Agnes Air Core Ultra mat?
Outabreath - Batemans Bay, NSW (1 year ago)
We dont sell Big Agnes, so cant say for sure sorry! I've had a quick look at what i can find of their valves online, and it looks like its abit bigger than the EXPED valves. If you know anyone who has an EXPED mat or Sea to Summit mat, see if you can compare valve size as that will give you the best indication.

Sea to Summit Ether Light XT Insulated Air Sleeping Mat1 answer
I appreciate that there have been questions about Sea to Summit mattress but I would like clarity on the Ether Light XT Insulated Air Sleeping Mat specifically. Is this pump likely to work okay with this mattress? Thanks
David - Beaconsfield, WA (1 year ago)
G'day David,
All of the Sea to Summit mats have the same issue with this pump, the valve doesn't quite fit, so it will take some wriggling and adjustments to make it fit and to inflate. You're unlikely to get the right about of pressure into the mat with this pump, so you'd likely need to use the included pump sack to top it off, and get it just right.

Sea To Summit1 answer
I have a sea to Summit double self inflating mat for my RTT is this pump compatible ? Cheers
Steven - Ulmarra, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Steven,
Its not directly compatible as the valve & pump don't fit together easily, but you can make it work with a bit of wriggling and effort.

deflating alternatives1 answer
I have the 15cm double self inflatable mat. the most hated part of the whole thing is deflation and packing. this would be great but it doesn't actually deflate. would flextailgear tiny pump valve connect to the 15cm double ma valvet to deflate it? or i i was to buy this widget inflation pump, is there another pump the blue valve connected would fit onto that would have a deflate option? i'm starting to regret purchasing the exped mat because of the deflation issue and it was an expensive purchase :(
Kim - sydney(2 years ago)
Self-inflating mats are really best deflated with your body weight, Kim, we do have a video on how to do it here - https://youtu.be/SvJYkyWdEZ0. I haven't seen a pump specifically deisgned to deflate self-inflating mats, I imagine that because of the resistance of the foam that there aren't many lightweight pumps that would cope without burning out.
You could try a 12V/240V airbed pump, just be wary of how hard it is working.

Compatible with Sea to Summit 1 answer
Hi, I have a S2S SI camp mattress (single) and im wondering if this unit would be suitable. If not, is there a unit you can recommend?
Joel - Watson, ACT (3 years ago)
G'day Joel,
We've touched on this in another answer, but ultimately yes, with a bit of effort. The S2S mat valve is the most similar to EXPED, but not identical, so you can carefully work the widget nozzle into the valve. Its a tight fit, but it can work.

Strong enough to pump a tent?1 answer
Assuming I can 3d print an adapter, do you think will this be strong enough to pump a Zempire EVO TXL tent to ~7 PSI?
Joe - Alkimos, WA(3 years ago)
G'day Joe,
Absolutely not, this pump is designed to put a bit of extra air into your self-inflating mats, or to fill up small air beds, in place of blowing them up with your own breath. Unfortunately its not the right option for air tents.

Coleman all terrain queen airbed compatability1 answer
Will this pump be compatible with the coleman all terrain queen airbed? If not, is there adapter that can be used?
Emily - Cooma, NSW (3 years ago)
G'day Emily,
The widget pump is designed to do to up inflates on self-inflating mats, or compact/lighter weight hiking mats. It wont have the power to effectively pump up a conventional air bed. If you are wanting a wireless portable pump option, go with the Quickpump Rechargeable.

Exped MegaMat Max 15 LXW1 answer
how many times will it inflate the Exped MegaMat Max 15 LXW per charge?
Mike - Melbourne, VIC (3 years ago)
G'day Mike,
EXPED say the widget will pump a Duo 10 in 4 minutes, 4 times before requiring a recharge. Its probably fair to say the 15 LXW would get around 6 inflates per charge? We dont have the exact answer though, so use that as a guide.

Compatible with Thermarest neoair winglock valve1 answer
Desription states it comes with a universal valve adaptor. Is it compatiable wiyh Thermarest neoair with winglock valve?
David - Kenmore, QLD(3 years ago)
No it won't lock on to the Neoair winglock but I just butt it up against it and hold it in place until it's full. It works well with Sea to Summit mats as well.

Jason - Perth, WA(3 years ago)

Pressure 1 answer
Does it have a over pressure switch or someway to prevent over inflation of the mat?
Shane - Moonee Ponds, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Shane,
No it doesn't, sorry. We generally would not recommend leaving a mat unattended whilst it being inflated with a powered pump. There's a much greater risk of permanent damage to the mat. It doesnt take long, just stick by and keep checking inflation levels with your hand.

Inflation modes 1 answer
Can you explain the inflation modes please. Can it be used to deflate the mattress?

No, the EXPED Widget does not have a deflate function or inflation modes. It is just click on and off.

Zempire3 answers
Will this pump up the zempire Monsta mattress double?
Michael - Sydney, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Michael,
No, the EXPED Widget is designed to be used with EXPED Flat Valves only. They can be used with some Sea to Summit Mats with a bit of effort as that's the only other similar valve, but there is no compatibility with other brands.
Lauren - Snowys(4 years ago)
Find a friend with a 3D printer and print a valve that fits the Zempire
