Is this camp stove good for simmering purposes?1 answer
Does the regulator help with keeping a strong flame at lower heats
Brock - WA(4 years ago)
G'day Brock,
The Weekender Stove is slightly better at simmering on it's smaller burner than some of the other 2 burner stoves, however there is much less variability when compared to your house stove. The regulator on a stove doesn't impact the ability to simmer or not simmer.

Companion Weekender alternative hose an regulator?1 answer
Hello I have one of those companion weekender 2 burner stoves. It came with the metal arm style regulator fitting which is leaky at the point where it enters the regulator. Do you sell the alternative hose and regulator to bypass this part?
Sam - 6014(5 years ago)
G'day Sam,
The Weekender Stove is designed to be used with the supplied regulator arm and no other attachments, so unfortunately not, there are not separate hoses to bypass the regulator arm. If you're having issues with your stove leaking we'd suggest to stop using it, and lodge a warranty claim if you've purchased it in the past 12 months.

Regulator attachment?1 answer
Hi there, can you please describe the regulator assembly between the stove and the cylinder - is it in the style of a short rigid line like the Coleman? And what is the thread type/size at the stove itself? Thanks!
Brad - Sydney(6 years ago)
G'day Brad,
The Companion Weekender 2 Burner Stove has the same style regulator as the Coleman stove units. They are designed to be used with the 465g disposable propane cylinders. You can purchase a separate hose to use this stove with a 3/8BSP or POL bottle too. You can find them under the 'You might also like' tab.
