The Vapor 2P tent from Marmot provides livability and durability for the adventurous couple or the lone traveller who likes the extra room.
The Vapor is a little different from its other Marmot Counterparts, in that it has a full fabric canopy making it a better option for cooler weather. The pre-bent poles and strategic poles clip placements on the Vapor creates more livable space inside your shelter. Featuring DAC Press-Fit Poles and Velocity Aluminium 7000 Ridge poles for stability and durability in your structure.
The seam taped vented fly offers taped seams and a waterhead rating of 3000mm for water protection, while the floor has a rating of 5000mm to protect your shelter from sodden ground. Two D shaped doors with mesh half door vents allow for ventilation, while the vestibules on either side enable you to stash your dirty gear out of your clean tent.
The added lampshade pocket also holds and diffuses your headlamp for ambient lighting while you’re in your tent, while the jingle free zipper pulls round off the host of clever features on this tent. For cooler weather adventures, the Vapor 2P from Marmont will provide reliable shelter with added roominess for two.

Is this a 3 or 4 Season Tent? Packed Dimensions? Footprint?2 answers
Other websites list this tent as a 3 season. Is it a 3 or 4 season tent? If it is, what makes it a 4 season? You have the packed dimensions listed as 53.3L x 17.8W x 17.8H cm, other sites say 45.7L x 17.8W x 17.8H cm. Also, does the Tungsten 2P footprint fit this tent?

G'day Michael,
Great questions. On second look, the partial mesh inner makes this a 3 season tent, we'll look to change that.
I've just physically double checked sizing and our sizing is correct at 53.3L x 17.8W x 17.8H cm.
In terms of the footprint, you'll need the Vapor specific one which we can special order for you. We'd just need you to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 so our Customer Support team can look into this for you.

G'day Michael,
We're sorry to hear this. Tent specification information comes to us from the supplier and these measurements are consistent across other retailers. We try to double check as many products as possible, along with taking on board feedback provided to us by customers (like yourself in regards to the seasons). At your time of purchase, this tent was brand new to our range, but it looks like we'll need to double check the internal measurements on the Marmot Vapor 2P Hiking Tent.
If you're able to offer any further information about the size difference (as 19cm is a big error) which includes photos of the parts of the tent that you're measuring, we would really appreciate that so we can better understand what needs to be fixed.
I understand that you must be frustrated with this experience and we're determined to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Warranties Manager, Nick at service@snowys.com.au and he can look into possible options to find a solution to this issue for you.

What is the difference between Marmot and BlackWolf Isopod other than weight and price point?1 answer
4 seasons hiking camping for 1 adult and child. Tyring to work out the difference in quality and benefit of increasing the budget to this tent, noting the need to also purchase a footprint for the Marmot.

G'day Nina,
As you've noted, there is a major difference in weight, the other difference is indeed quality in terms of both tent design and materials. Marmot has been known to produce tents that are durable and stand up to what nature throws at it when it matters most. Their design also makes the user experience a simple and easy one. Don't get me wrong, both are fantastic tents, but you will get what you decide to pay for in this instance.
