Keep your tent dry, clean and in better condition with some assistance from the Universal 3P Footprint from MSR.

This footprint is constructed from 68D Taffeta polyester and has a DWR treatment that provides a 1200mm waterhead rating for weather protection. This footprint will keep the underside of your tent clean, guard it against abrasions, and allow you to set up using the fast and light option.

Compatible for use with the Mutha Hubba, Freelite 3, Carbon Reflex 3, and Thru Hiker Mesh Hiker 3 models from MSR– the Universal 3P Footprint from MSR will add extra protection and versatility to your tent set up.

Yep - the Mutha Hubba and Hubba Hubba 3 have the same size footprint, so this groundsheet will be the best fit.

Eyelets for tent poles1 answer

The previous non-universal footprints had eyelets that allowed setting up the fly using just the footprint. Does this footprint also have the eyelets?

Unfortunately not, the Universal Footprints don't have eyelets, so there is no way to set up the tent in a fly and footprint configuration.

Does this footprint enable my mutha hubba 3p tent to be configured in fast and light mode? The photos don't show any eyelets for the poles to attach to...

Unfortunately this Fast & Light Footprint is not available in Australia through the MSR supplier.
You'll most likely have to source this from an international retailer, or directly from MSR in the USA.

Hi Guys, I see that this footprint is virtually the same size as the main body of the OZtrail Vertex 3 Hiking Tent. Is there any reason I couldn't use it for this purpose?

You could use the Universal 3P footprint with the Vertex 3 Hiking Tent. There aren't any reasons we can think of that would be a problem for this combination.
