Coverage compared to tarp/poncho? 1 answer
Is the coverage of this about the same (with a pack on) as the tarp/poncho? Also, does it open out so it could be used as a groundsheet in a pinch?
Jill - Hervey Bay(4 years ago)
G'day Jill,
Not quite, the Tarp/Poncho is a touch wider and is approximately 40-50cm longer overall. Whilst you could technically use the Sea to Summit Ultra Sil Nano Poncho as a groundsheet, it's definitely not designed for it. In a pinch you'd be ok, but definitely not a regular thing. The fabric is tough but would last as long with constant abrasion. Hope that helps.

Cover large pack?1 answer
Would this poncho adequately cover a large pack (eg 85ltr)?
Kev - Winmalee(6 years ago)
G'day Kev,
I've used my Poncho-Tarp over my 65L pack and it worked fine so I'd think it would still provide an adequate cover over a larger pack.
