Hi Snowys, are you getting the Ultra 5R LW in stock? If not, would the 3R be OK for Budawangs / OT with a foam mat (like a flex mat or zlite) underneath?

We wont get the Ultra 5R sorry - it's a tough one on whether or not this will be up to scratch for you. I'd say it very much depends on your sleeping bag & wether or not that comfort rating more than covers the climate. The EN testing for comfort ratings is based on a R-value 4 mat....having said that though, if you combined with a flex mat that would give you R-values of 2.9 1.5 - so 4.5 total. If you're happy to carry both mat options for those trips where you need the extra R-value, that would be a good solution.
