The Tungsten 1-Person Tent by Marmot is for the solo setups under the stars.
Boasting a free-standing design and short folded pole length, this tent is faster to set up your billy boils in the summer and fits well in your bikepack and kayak kit for those off or on-water trips. Come rain, hail, and shine, solution-dyed fabric helps to reduce water consumption in the manufacturing process, also resisting discolouration from harsh Aussie UV. Solo camping can have us feeling a little exposed – but this tent literally has you covered, with seam-taping on the full-coverage fly and catenary-cut floor, preventing water resistance and invasion during wet conditions.
This tent offers outdoor protection from the ground up, via the included footprint – and even as a standalone camper, maintain an eye for campsite ambience thanks to the lampshade pocket for cradling your headlamp.
Solitary stargazing starts with the Marmot Tungsten 1-Person Tent.

A few questions1 answer
Hi there, I have a few questions about this tent please. I tried looking for these answers elsewhere online, but seems I could only find older versions. Thanks in advance! Pegs: How many pegs does it need to be fully pitched-- I am thinking 4 for the base, 1 each for the front and back, and is it 4 guy lines, for a total of 10? What sort of pegs does it come with? Carry bag: What is the carry bag like? (draw string, or roll top, or …?) Internal pockets: Aside from the space at the top to put a headlamp in, are there any internal pockets? Footprint: Is it possible to set this one up with the footprint and the fly only? Is this the same footprint as the UL version of this tent? Pictures would be great too, if possible. Thanks!

G'day Ali,
The Tungsten 1P comes with 5 pegs which is all that's required to set the tent up - 4 corners and one vestibule. If you want to use the guy lines, you'll need to grab some extra generic hiking pegs. alternatively, as this is a free-standing model you do not have to peg the four corners in a pinch, and you could use those pegs on the guy lines. The pegs that are provided are shepherd's hook hiking pegs, and the storage bag has a draw string closure. It is a multi-pitch tent, which means it can be set up without the tent inner if required - the footprint is supplied with the tent and is slightly different to the UL version, but ultimately has all the same features.
In terms of internal pockets, there is nothing overhead for storage, but there is a small fabric loop to hang a lantern, etc. There is a small triangular stuff pocket near the corner of the mesh approximately half way up the end wall of the tent, and another rectangular flap down near the floor on the same corner, thats stitched into two small pockets large enough for a phone, etc.
