Dakota Fire Pit1 answer
Hi. Is this stong enough to sustain the effort of digging a Dakota fire pit?
Jacqui - Melbourne, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Jacqui,
The Tri-Fold Shovel is definitely a sturdy shovel & should do the trick as any other shovel would. You'd need to use some common sense in terms of the kind of ground you're trying to dig in, and the size, etc. If your ground is compact clay and full of rocks, you'd probably want a larger, more hardcore shovel.

Can you use this for coals?1 answer
Would this be ok for moving coals around in a fire?
Aaron - Sydney(6 years ago)
G'day Aaron,
Theoretically, you could use the Tri-Fold Shovel to move coals around the fire but we probably wouldn't recommend it as the handle is quite short. There are nylon parts in the handle that won't really handle the heat so if you do choose to use it then you would need to make sure the coals don't come further up than the hinge joint attachment.
