The warmest bag in the Sea to Summit Trek range of sleeping bags, the TkII is made especially for those who like the tapered design of a mummy bag, but with the addition of some extra room to move.
The bag incorporates highly breathable 2D PermaShell™ fabric which will keep your down in tip-top shape. The tapered rectangle design makes the Trek ideal for people with a larger frame or who prefer a roomy bag. The full-length side and foot zips mean you can zip it wide open and use it as a quilt for balmier nights, or have your feet poking out if you need some air flow while you sleep. And, in colder weather, the two-dimensional hood is will help trap warmth for a soundless night’s sleep in the elements.
Featuring an oversize internal pocket that’s big enough to keep your wallet, passport, and gadgets close while you doze. The included lightweight Ultra-Sil® compression bag will compress the bag down to a mere 6L for easy packing. The Trek TkIII is a bag for the adventurer wanting a freer night sleep, but with the closeness and warmth to get them through a cold night in the hut.

Can you put a sts mat inside the bag providing the lengths match up without compromising the performance of the bag?
G'day Ross,
Good question, but I think you'd find the sleeping bag extremely tight if you had the mat in there with you as they're not really designed to be used this way. You might also find this negatively affects the warmth of the bag as it might not allow the down to fully loft. If you're keen on a sleeping bag that can be secured to the Sea to Summit mats to prevent you sliding off at all, look at the Sea to Summit Ember Quilt range. These are pretty versatile bags and have 4 straps attached so you can strap the mat to the bag.
What's the usual side the zip is on thanks
G'day Melissa,
With the Sea to Summit Trek TkIII Sleeping Bags, the zip is on the right-hand side of the short size and on the left-hand side for both the regular and large sizes.
Can you please tell me if this compresses to the size of the trk1 at all?
G'day Katie,
When fully compressed the Sea to Summit Trek TkI Sleeping Bag is around the 5.1L mark, whereas the TkIII is about 7.05L. So, no, it won't be quite as small but it's still within a couple of litres.
