When there is a decent chance your gear will get wet in the field, the technical Traverse Tv2 from Sea to Summit is the synthetic sleeping bag you can count on.
You’ll have a bit of extra roominess compared to a traditional mummy bag as the Traverse features a tapered rectangular shape. This sleeping bag has a free-flow triple-zip design so that you can close it up for warmth or open it up to ventilate. The half zip on the right side of the bag frees up your arms and allows for air flow, or the full length two-way left side zip and separate foot zip allows you to use it as a quilt.
The shell is made from a 30D nylon with a DWR treatment and has a 20D nylon lining that’s lightweight and easy to compress. Featuring a 2°C comfort rating and a -4°C lower limit, this bag has a unique WaveLoft™ construction, which is layers of looped THERMOLITE® insulation to trap warm air, and the lining is attached to the shell to prevent tangles.
For cool weather conditions, the Traverse Tv2 from Sea to Summit is a reliable synthetic sleeping bag when performance is a priority.

Finding the TV3 to be too big for hiking. How much smaller does the TV2 pack down than the TV3?
Adam - Rockdale, NSW(11 months ago)
G'day Adam,
The Regular Traverse TV2 packs down to 34L x 18W cm while the Large packs down to 38L x 20W cm. A few cm difference between them and it does compress down a little extra as well.

Matching STS Liner?1 answer
Could you recommend matching STS liners for the regular size of this bag? Thanks.
Brett - Franklin, ACT(3 years ago)
G'day Brett,
All of the Sea to Summit liners are suitable to use with the Traverse Sleeping Bags. Depending on your budget, weight limit and your fabric preference there are a few options - the Thermolite Reactor Liners are one of the most popular options.

Weight1 answer
I just purchased one of these bags and it weighs 1225g (without compression bag). Claimed weight is 1130g. Can you guys weigh one of yours to confirm please?
Tim - Margate, WA(4 years ago)
G'day Tim,
Sea to Summit have a minimum weight per sqm of fill on their range of synthetic bags, and whilst this is adhered to as much as possible, there may be a slight discrepancy across the weight of the fill between individual bags. Out of the three Tv2 bags in the regular length that we have in stock here, all of them weigh slightly different with a variance of upto 150g. Because of the individual construction of each bag, it's impossible to give a guaranteed weight specification.

Packed size1 answer
Is the packed size the compressed or un-compressed size of this product?
Glenn - Perth (5 years ago)
G'day Glenn,
The packed size is the uncompressed size, so you should be able to compress the bag down a little bit more (not heaps with a synthetic bag). The last image shows the compressed bag next to a 1Lt Camelbak bottle for size reference.
