The most popular swag in the AOS range, the Tracker King Single Dome Swag is a perfect option if you are seeking a high-quality swag for use in the warm Australian climate.
Exceptional ventilation is achieved through mesh panels at both the head and feet, and a full mesh upper is exposed by unzipping the heavy duty waterproof canvas top. On cooler, or wet nights, the top panel securely fastens for reliable weather protection, and the end vents are easily opened and closed from inside the swag.
Two pre-bent alloy poles are easily zipped into the swag for quick setup, and a 70mm mattress delivers a sound night's sleep. Finished off with a built-in pole/peg storage pouch, easy to use clip on guy ropes, and a bottle opener, the Tracker Swag is not only made in Australia but is certainly made for Australia.

Can this swag be used without the poles and tie downs like a traditional swag? I really want the best of both worlds without having to have two separate swags but can't seem to find anything like this.
G'day Bri,
I cant see when you couldn't, it would just be a matter of working out the best way to get in and out of it with the extra fabric around the head space.
It terms of looking at the swag range in general this is probably one of the best options that you could probably make work. If you check out the 3rd image, I reckon the easiest way would be to use the end as your in and out, and this whole end could lay mostly flat & it would be like a bivvy bag.
I notice that AOS market these as a warm weather swag. Is there any reason for this and how do they perform in colder weather?
G'day Adam,
AOS use a heavier duty canvas than most other brands. They have also designed the swag with a foot taper, so it's more of a cocoon shape which minimising the open air space around the body. That coupled with the canvas means the internal swag space will likely retain your body heat abit better than other options.
Having said that though, you should just rely on the swag to keep you warm, you'll need to make sure you have adequate bedding for the temperatures you're camping in.
Do you think an Exped megamat 15 would fit in it? Or be too thick?
G'day Dan,
In terms of dimensions, the EXPED Megamat 15 would fit in this swag. You'll only end up with about 50cm of head height though, which may be a consideration, but these tapered swags tent to be smaller internally anyway.
Hope that helps.
Are the poles also under guarantee if they break ?
G'day Neal,
A product's warranty covers manufacturing defects or faults with workmanship. Poles generally are not covered, as they are primarily damaged or broken due to environmental factors, or tension issues with user error.
If you have issues with the pole straight out of the box or on the first set up they generally will be covered without question, but the supplier will likely want to assess any pole breakage outside of that.
I'm wondering what camp stretcher would go well with this swag, and if it would work well on a camp stretcher.
G'day Kat,
We'd recommend the Oztrail Easy Fold Single Jumbo stretcher if you're wanting to lift your swag up off the ground. It is one of the largest single sized stretchers we carry, and is almost the same size as the Tracker Swag, and will work quite well.
How do you get in the swag if you have it fully closed up? Can you still get in from the top and zip up inside or do you need to enter from the end? Thanks!
G'day Fred,
There are a few ways you can get in depending on if you're wanting to keep the top canvas piece closed or not. Generally, we'd recommend getting in from the top. If you have a look at our featured video Ben goes through where the zippers are, and looks at all of the features you can use.
Does this swag stand alone or do the head & foot need to be tied to something? Also, what is the base? Im also wondering how it compares the the Burke & Wills Redgum & the Darche Megadome Cheers
G'day Sandy,
The AOS Tracker Swag will need to be tied out to stop it from collapsing on you, it's not freestanding. The floor is made of a 475gsm poly cotton canvas and as for comparing it to the other two - You could probably argue that the Darche has the wood over the others in a number of areas such as the pole material and fabric of the swag but it also comes with the highest price. Burke & Wills and Darche both offer limited lifetime warranties whereas AOS only offer 10 years (still pretty darn good).
What are the key selling points to pay the considerably higher price?
G'day Jason,
That is a great question!
The AOS Tracker has a canvas floor (vs PVC vinyl of the Lachlan Deluxe which is a little less heavy duty), the canvas is higher quality, the mattress in the Tracker is again is better quality than the Oztrail, and it comes with a compatible swag bag included whereas the Lachlan Deluxe does not.
The Lachlan is still a great swag, it’s one of our most popular and reliable models, but the AOS swag is a little more hardwearing so it's more of an investment.
