A 6-person tent with numerous setup options, the Roman Tracker 6 Dome Tent is a stable and reliably dry shelter for small families on the move.

With three access points and an internal divider, the Tracker 6 Tent can be set up with separate sleeping quarters or as one large room. The flysheet door covers can be extended as awnings, when combined with covered windows and roof vents, creates an airy living space in warm weather.

Mesh Windows In Sleeping Area1 answer

Do the mesh windows in the sleeping area zip open so you can close the solid window without going outside?

Thanks for getting in touch, we've not had one of these on display before so I called Roman to try and suss it out. The conclusion is that you won't be able to zip open the solid panel from the inside you'll have zip the solid panel externally.

I had a hunt around online for an answer to this but found some conflicting information so I gave our Roman supplier a call. It's definitely a one year warranty on all their tents.

Front POrch - Can you enclose with just mesh1 answer

We are keen to sit out once the kids are asleep - can you sit in the front porch area and just have mesh doors, not the fly down?

The front porch area does have doors made from 'no-see-um' mesh to keep the bugs out, so you'll be fine on those nights when the mozzies are out to get you!

I have been surprised by how many tents don't have this feature, including Roman and Zempire Neo tents. Has been an asset in every K-mart Jackaroo tent I have owned- but sadly these tents don't appear to be available anymore. Also-can the divider door be opened completely as just mesh, or only partially? Thanks

I've just spoken with Roman on the phone, and they've told me that the Tracker 6 Dome Tent has a power outlet in the internal panel of the interior of the tent.Â

As for the divider door - the majority of it is solid, with a panel at the top that has a mesh option so the top part can be zipped open for ventilation, or closed off for privacy.Â

Material in the walls of the sleeping area1 answer

I am comparing the Mojave HV6, Roman Tracker 6 and Zempire Neo 6 tents. It looks like the Zempire has completely mesh walls in the sleeping area, whereas the Mojave has solid walls with mesh windows and vents. What is the situation with the walls in the sleeping section of the Roman tent as I cannot tell from the picture? I would very much prefer solid walls with windows and vents. Thanks

Gâ€™day Louise, the Roman Tracker 6 has both a mesh and solid door that can be zipped up inside the tent. Both rooms of the tent are made from solid material, and have mesh windows so youâ€™ll get plenty of ventilation. The Zempire Neo 6 has a vestibule which is made from mesh â€“ which can be used as a sleeping area, but the main room of the tent is made from polyester. The Black Wolf Mohave HV6 also has a mesh vestibule with a solid main room. It sounds like the Tracker 6 from Roman would be the pest tent for your needs, as itâ€™s got solid rooms with mesh windows.

I am researching Roman 'Tracker 6 Dome Tent' and 'Tracker 3VD Dome Tent'. If I break poles, can I buy replacement poles for the tents?

You shouldn't need to replace an entire pole Noa, something drastic must have happened if this was the case. It is more likely that you may need to replace a damaged pole section, for which you only need to purchase a replacement pole section. We sell kits in which 2-4 sections are included with shock cord and metal ferrules, these can be cut to size to replace the damaged section. It looks like the Tracker series use a combination of pole diameters, give us a call if you want to purchase these kits to go with your tent and we can ensure you get the right ones.

This or Coleman Lakeside 6 Geodesic Tent?1 answer

Hi Snowys, I'm torn between deciding whether to buy this tent or the Coleman Lakeside 6 Geodesic Tent. I intend to use this as a base tent for long-term camping (1 month long) for research fieldwork. It will be the communal area for 4 people, to cook and relax etc. The tent has to be really durable in rain and very windy conditions, and can provide most warmth in winter. What would you recommend? Cheers!

It's pretty hard to recommend one of these over the other Dahlia. Key differences between the two are a rear entrance and slightly more floor space for the Coleman Lakeside 6 Geo, whilst the Roman Tracker 6 has a higher waterhead and seems to pitch a little tighter. If it's a long term investment, the Roman Tracker feels like a slightly better quality tent, if it only has to last a month, the Coleman Lakeside Geo is good value. Please be aware that a continuous month of UV exposure will see any tent degrade considerably, consider pitching the tent under shade or with a tarp over the top to extend the life of the fabric.

Sorry Vivienne, we have made an error here, whilst Roman claim four entrances, there is actually three external doors with access to the vestibule and one that leads from the vestibule to the main tent. The rear of the tent does not have a door. I will fix this up in our description, and I am sorry for the confusion.

Hi Kylie, apologies for the delayed reply, but I have some information regarding your enquiry. The divider is a mesh fabric combination that allows the top part of the divider to be zipped open for ventilation through the mesh. With regards to room size, the main sleeping area, or rear room is 240 x 240cm, which places the divider right in the middle of the tent. I hope this answers your queries.
