No couple wants an ugly galvanised pole to come between them… right?
With the OZtrail Tourer Side Pole Kit you can ditch (or safely store) the centre pole that came with your Tourer 9 and create space for a queen size mattress.
It only adds a minute to the already speedy pitch time of the Tourer 9 and is easily attached internally with a roof section and two side poles.

Oz trail side pole kit1 answer
Will this fit a coi leisure tent?
Wendy - Lochiel, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Wendy,
It is possible that this Side Pole Kit might fit a COI Leisure tent, however unfortunately as they've been out of production for a number of years, we have no way of checking or verifying this for you.

Oztrail tourer 10 plus1 answer
Does this item ( side rails) fit Oztrail 10 plus or only the 9 plus?
Can you still use the tent without ropes or do you need them to stabilise the side poles?
Rachelle - Grovedale (6 years ago)
G'day Rachelle,
The Tourer 9 tent will stay up by pegging out the tent corners while using the Side Pole Kit. We'd generally recommend using the guy ropes as this will provide plenty of support in case the wind picks up.

Can you leave the triangular piece in place with the tent packed up?1 answer
Or will it no longer fit in the bag that comes with the tourer?
jack - Stanmore(7 years ago)
G'day Jack,
We haven't tried this ourselves, but it looks like it will be difficult to pack it flat if you left the pole in.
It's likely you will have to detach the top pole section before packing it up, so that it will fit properly in the bag the Tourer 9 comes with.
Also keep in mind, that in general we don't recommend leaving poles in a tent when packing down as it can cause damage to the tent.

Will this kit fit a hi country centre pole tent2 answers
Wil - MILDURA, VIC(8 years ago)
Hi Wil, the Oztrail Tourer Side Pole kit is designed to be used with the Oztrail Tourer 9 and Tourer 9 Plus, so if the measurements of your tent are the same it may fit. I’ve tried to find the measurements online but there doesn’t seem to be a website for Hi Country, and we’re not familiar with the brand. The height of the poles in this kit are 210cm (which are the poles highest adjustable length) and the width of the roof section is 60cm - so if you compare this to your tent then you should able to tell if it will fit. It might help to look at images on the product page to get an idea of where to measure your tent.
Emily - Snowys(8 years ago)
It's hard to say for sure Wil, as the Hi Country tent is not one that we stock! I've looked up the Hi Country tent and it seems the floor dimensions are the same, although the Hi Country tent has a higher maximum head height. My thoughts are that it would probably work, but as we're not able to test it I can't give you a definite answer.Â

Carry bag?1 answer
Is a strong carry bag for travel included with purchase?
David - Bunbury WA(9 years ago)
The side pole kits don't include a carry bag David, we have some carry bags in-store, but the best ones have been unavailable for some time. Give us a call if you want to go on our list of people to inform once these are back in stock - 1300 914 007.

Does this fit older tourer 9 RV without Velcro on inner roof.2 answers
I have a tourer 9 Rv about 6 year old and want to convert it to accomodate double air bed .
Ian - Tamworth(9 years ago)
I'm pretty sure it does Ian. I'll call Oztrail on Monday to confirm this for you and post my findings back here. Enjoy your Sunday.
Ben - Snowys(9 years ago)
Good morning Ian, the Tourer 9 RV is not a tent we are familiar with, it looks slightly different than what we have sold both now and in the past. That being said, Oztrail confirmed with me this morning that the side pole kit will in fact work with your tent. I guess there are minor benefits to having the velcro in the roof in that it won't slip around, but when pitched correctly the poles will stay securely in place anyway.
