House the whole fam in the traditional Tourer 9 Plus Canvas Tent from OZtrail that’s made for modern adventures.

This tent is made from reliable Ripstop SatProof™ canvas with an anti-mildew and waterproofing treatment while the floor is a high-density puncture-resistant HDPE floor system to keep you dry from the ground up. There’s an inverted seams system in place which helps water runoff, and you can zip up the awnings on all the windows in a drizzle. To make it easy to pitch, it features a heavy-gauge galvanised steel centre pole and a rear support pole, so you can spend more time relaxing around camp. To give you extra shade at the front of the tent, there’s a large front awning and when the skies are grey, and the oversized D-door has lower sills to minimise tripping.

The door, full-length side windows, and rear all-weather gusseted window have No-See-Um mesh for insect protection and excellent ventilation throughout the tent. How do you get rid of mould. 1 answer

Tent been stored for a few years and now had mould on several sides.

G'day Vicki,

We sell a product called Mould Rid that will remove mould and mildew. There are instructions on the container, but essentially you apply it with a brush and leave it to dry, then hose it off and repeat until the mould/mildew is removed.

Yep, at 201L x 132W the Zempire Twin Monstamat will fit inside the Tourer 9 Plus, no worries :) The Tourer 9 Plus has a sleeping area of 350L x 260W so not only will your Twin Monstamat fit, but you'll have room to move and store a bit of gear! Cheers

The packed dimensions as listed in the specifications for the Oztrail Tourer 9 Plus Tent are for when the roof frame is packed down still assembled and stored in the square bag provided. The compact packed dimensions are for when the roof frame is dismantled (packed as it arrives in the box).

What is the difference between OZtrail models Tourer 9+ CTT-09-D and Tourer 9+CTT-09-E?

G'day Dennis,

The letter at the end of the code reflects the model of the tent. In this instance, the Tourer 9 CTT-09-E is the newer model over the Tourer 9 CTT-09-D. Often the changes can be quite minimal coming down to as much as a different shade of blue in the fabric.

We currently only have stock in the Tourer 9 CTT-09-D as we're still yet to sell all our 'D' model stock. However, we can order the newer model for you if you'd like. Just give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and we can provide you with pricing and delivery times.

Waterhead rating1 answer

Hi. Website shows waterhead rating of 1300mm which I understand is low/not great whereas write-up on various sites including Snowys and Oztrail is a 4 Season (winter tent) with a SatProof 600+ 350 gsm ripstop canvas. Are you able to confirm how water proof the tent is? Apologies in advance if my interpretation/comparison of waterhead rating versus 4 season etc is incorrect. Also, does the tent need to be guyed out? From review if appears to only be for the awning poles. Many thanks.

Hi Iain, no need for apologies, when it comes to tent ratings and waterhead, things can be confusing and this is made all the more confusing with the way in which Oztrail rate their tents. I am not sure where we got the 1300mm rating from, I have taken it off our website as I cannot find anything to support this any more. Generally Oztrail have a number in their fabric description which we assume is the waterhead rating, but in the case of the Tourer this would mean it has 600mm rating, which isn't waterproof at all. What I can say though is that the Tourer tents are a reliably waterproof, tough as nails tent that has been in the range for years. I cannot get a definitive waterhead rating for you, but I can honestly say that if pitched correctly and the canvas is 'seasoned' then you will stay warm and dry in this tent in the worst of conditions. As for guy ropes, it comes included with what is required for correct pitching and there are points on each roof corner to attach these to. I hope this helps.

Insulted roof, centrepole, and warranty1 answer

Is this the 3 layer roof, as is advertised on oztrails own site specifications? EG with the Insulcell insulation? Also, how is the centrepole secured/tightened? Oxtrail say "one touch"- if so, please explain how that works? (My old tourer tent has usual screw in thing which slips somewhat.) Finally, they say warranty is 2 yrs but yours 1yr?

Hi David, thanks for your question. We stock the latest model of Tourer 9 as advertised by Oz Trail. The Center pole has a clamp mechanism that replaces the old style T Nut to hold the extendable center pole in place. The Warranty is provided by Oz Trail and is 2 years - I have since updated this on our website.

Does Ð‹ canvas front door have a 2 way zip to open from inside and outside?

Hi Janet, I'm not sure I fully understand your question so I'll describe things as best I can. The door which incorporates both mesh and solid canvas panels, the mesh being on the outside, has two zipper pulls both with toggles on the inside and outside to facilitate entry and exit to the tent. The canvas panel can be zipped and rolled away from the inside to leave a mesh door. Hopefully this answers your question.
