Temp control1 answer
Just seeking clarity please Can each compartment be separately controlled? Can it be used as all fridge or all freezer? Can you turn off one section, if not can you keep a higher ambient temp in one ( to reduce power consumption ) if so what is the “warmest temp” it can go to What Connection point does it used , is this an Anderson plug? Thanks
Sarah - Port Douglas, QLD(4 years ago)
G'day Sarah,
Yes, you can set the two compartments of the Evakool TMDZ95 fridge/freezer at different temperatures depending on your needs. Once the unit is on its running completely, you cannot turn half of it off. The temperature Range is 10°C to -22°C as stated in the specs, and it comes with 3 cables: 240v, 12v and Anderson. Hope that helps.

Tarik1 answer
Is this rated at a tropical fridge? Usually tropical is rated at 45 degree ambient temperature
Tarik - Ryde(4 years ago)
G'day Tarik,
I've only ever heard caravan specific fridges referring to a tropical rating. Evakool doesn't specify whether it is rated for the tropics, with all testing and specifications done at 32'C, which is the standard for this style of fridge.

Power cables1 answer
What power cables does this fridge come with
Kelly - Byford, WA(4 years ago)
G'day Kelly,
The TMDZ fridge series come with a 240v, Anderson to Anderson, and a shorter extension Anderson to 12v cable. The latter 2 can be joined together to give you the flexibility of either Anderson or 12v connection on the power source side. Hope that helps!

Construction1 answer
Is there a cooling element in each compartment
Glenn - Littlehampton(4 years ago)
G'day Glenn,
Yes there is a cooling element that runs around the inside of both compartments so that the two compartments can be individually adjusted for temperature.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
Can you turn the individual compartments off like the cfx395dz1 answer
Like in the dometic cfx395dz
Grant - Cowan(4 years ago)
Hi Grant,
Sorry for the delayed response, I've touched base with Evakool and unfortunately you can't completely turn off the individual compartments. You can individually set the two compartments to different temperatures, but one side can't be turned off.

Does this fridge need air space around it?1 answer
I'm just wondering how much ventilation space it requires around it when in a camper trailer?
Margaret - WEST PYMBLE(4 years ago)
G'day Margaret,
You won't need too much space around your fridge, you'll just need to ensure that the compressor section of the fridge has approximately 5-10cm of space clear you'll be all ok.
