I've checked this with the legends at Brendale who have tested this out for you.  Heres what they think:

Tried a Kirks Lemonade can & a Great Northern stubby, both fit but they can spill because the pocket isn't super solid - just make sure you've had a few sips out of it first, and be mindful getting in and out of the chair.
Both tested with without a stubby holder on them & it's a two handed job putting the drink back in the pocket.

We reckon the cup holder would be a lot easier!

We don't have any of these physically in stock at our store locations to check this for you.  From memory, there is a little room at the end of the bag but not a huge amount.  I'd say if you are considerate with how you pack up the chair you should be able to make it work.

Yes, absolutely.
One thing to be mindful of is sand getting inside the hubs on the frame.  If that happens the aluminium frame pieces could get scratched or it could effect the socket spaces.
If in doubt give it a rinse after each trip.

I've grabbed our resident tall man, Ben, to jump into our display Helinox Sunset Chair & it's a perfect fit.  Turns out Ben has 2 of these himself which he absolutely loves, he uses them without the headrest but for the sake of our experiment I stuffed it with a travel towel, & it worked nicely for him.
