The Coleman Sundome 6P Dome Tent is ideal for small families camping in warm or tropical climates.
Combining a ‘half-flysheet’ with large weather protected mesh panels and a floor level vent creates outstanding ventilation, whilst the door and rear window are weather protected by peaks in the flysheet. Storage pockets inside keep gear organised whilst a heavy-duty PE floor ensures your sleeping space stays moisture free.
Easily set up with Instaclip pole attachments and snag-free continuous pole sleeves, the Coleman Sundome 6P is a great value tent for compact family camping.
The spec says it can accommodate 2 double air mattresses. Does it really fit 2 airmattress and can you recommend the model that does fit? We are trying to fit 2 adults 2 children.
Alwyna - Chatswood(4 years ago)
G'day Alwyna,
You'll just be able to fit 2 x Double Airbeds in this tent. We have a range of double airbeds, but the Coleman Quickbed Airbed Double is the size we know will fit.

Does the bug screen keep out midgies or is it a larger mesh size?1 answer
Size of bug mesh?
C - Brisbane (5 years ago)
G'day,
No, the Coleman Sundome series is not midgey proof. Generally the No See Um mesh will give you the best chance of protection, however as Midgeys are tricky little buggers and can get in between the gaps of a zip (for example!) there nothing on the market as far as we're aware, that claims to keep them out. Hope that helps.

Fetalaiga - St Helens Park(5 years ago)
G'day Fetalaiga,
If you're needing to replace some broken pole sections on the Coleman Sundome 6 you'll need to grab yourself some 11mm Fibreglass Tent Pole Sections. We've got a handy guide here to help you repair the poles.

mesh walls both sides?1 answer
G'day from WA,
Does both sides of the tent have the top half as mesh only? In one of the pics i see one side does, just wondering if both sides are like this?
Looking for tent that can be used to star gaze and like the 3x3 m sleeping space of this versus the Oztrail stargazer.

Peggsy - Edgewater(6 years ago)
G'day Peggsy,
The Coleman Sundome 6p does have mesh walls on both sides and with the fly removed I think it'd make a great stargazer!

Is this fully waterproof?1 answer
I know it says suits warm and tropical weather, if its waterproof then i am interested.
Bijay - 2170(7 years ago)
G'day Bijay,
The Coleman Sundome 6 Person Dome Tent doesn't have a Waterhead rating in Australia. I've found a Waterhead rating of 1000mm overseas but that's not to say it'll be the same here. I would say that it would offer some limited protection from rain but if there was heavy rain, it wouldn't be 100% waterproof, no.

How suitable is the tent for Tasmanian conditions . 1 answer
Tasmanian summer . Can get down to 10c
Sylvia - New Norfolk 7140(7 years ago)
G'day Sylvia,
The thing to note with the Coleman Sundome Dome Tent is that it's designed for warm or tropical climates. They aren't designed however to cop large amounts of rain and/or wind.
In regards to temperature, this is more dependant on a well-insulated sleeping mat and warm sleeping bag.

In one of the pictures featured on this tent what blue lights are used on the tent? Do you stock those?1 answer
Referring to the night time photo
Harry - Melbourne(7 years ago)
G'day Harry,
Great question. I'm assuming you're referring to the lights on the guy ropes and if so, I believe what you're looking for is the Coleman Guyline Illuminator Light which is available here.

Suitable whether condition 1 answer
Hi
Is this suitable during rainy or winter whether condition ?
Bosky - GLEN IRIS, VIC(8 years ago)
G’day Bosky, the Coleman Sundome 6 Person Dome Tent is ideal for warm or tropical climates. This is because the inner tent has breathable panels for ventilation, and the fly does not cover the entire tent – so it’s features focus on cooling you down, not trapping heat. Because of the breathability of this tent, it is probably going to be a bit vulnerable in wintry conditions to both rain and wind

Set up1 answer
How long does it take to set up the tent - for a first time female camper?
Karen - Preston(9 years ago)
I recommend allowing approximately half an hour to put this tent up Karen. It isn't difficult, and once you get the hang of it set-up should only take 10 minutes.
