The Sundome is a great summer tent due to the half fly and upper mesh. It would be suitable to pitch in the sand however I would recommend buying sand pegs to anchor it down if the wind picks up! You can find our sand peg selection HERE

The Coleman Sundome 4 Person Dome Tent is designed as more of a summer tent. If there was some light drizzle, then you'd stay dry but if you got any decent sort of rain, then you'd most likely get wet inside.
