The Sundome is a great summer tent due to the half fly and upper mesh. It would be suitable to pitch in the sand however I would recommend buying sand pegs to anchor it down if the wind picks up! You can find our sand peg selection HERE

The Coleman Sundome 4 Person Dome Tent is designed as more of a summer tent. If there was some light drizzle, then you'd stay dry but if you got any decent sort of rain, then you'd most likely get wet inside.

Ease to erect, dismantle and pack away?1 answer
We've recently started camping and for the family have the oztrail fastframe tourer 450 which was great.
My son has a father and son camp out at school later in the year, so am looking for something smaller, relatively cheap, but easy to put, down and pack away on my own. Ideally would fit our blackwolf mega deluxe mattress as well.
Do you think this tent would meet the above criteria or do you have any other suggestions.
